Review of Surgery With No Implant (Autologous Costal Cartilage)

It’s now been 1 month since my surgery!! I thought nose surgery absolutely had to use silicone, but they used autologous costal cartilage and ear cartilage up to the nasal tip, and postauricular fascia for the glabella area. After taking off the splint, at first my nose looked a bit bulky starting from the tip, but now I think it has slimmed down by about 50%. There’s still some minor swelling that needs to go down, and once it does, I think it’ll look much more natural. My original nasal bridge was crooked, and lower down my nasal tip was short and blunt, so it used to look like a hump nose, but that appearance is gone now. Since the nasal tip has become more defined and raised, I think that’s the part I like most. The pain from the autologous costal cartilage is almost gone now that I’m reaching 1 month..! At first it felt awkward because of the foreign-body sensation, but it was only a bit uncomfortable for about two weeks, and after that, not really?
