One month after removal..

More people than I expected sent me messages, so although I wasn’t planning to give an update (because there isn’t really much to say...), I’ll share my one-month progress. I removed an L-shaped silicone implant after 11 years. I didn’t have anything else done, like any nasal tip manipulation.. I had it removed at the end of last month.. and in just 4 more days it will be exactly one month. When the taping was removed after the implant removal, there wasn’t much difference externally, but as the swelling gradually went down, the nasal bridge did become a bit lower than when the implant was in.. But people around me who see my face every day, no one notices.. I guess there isn’t much difference.. At first after removal, my nasal tip was soft, and when I pressed it, it felt like it went in slightly, but around 2 or 3 weeks, the nasal tip was so hard that I wondered if the implant had really been removed.. (The doctor showed me the removed L-shaped silicone, and if I hadn’t brought it home as a keepsake(?), I probably would have doubted whether it had really been removed..) But now that it’s almost been a month, it’s still hard, but slightly soft while hard.. It feels like the hardness will gradually loosen.. I didn’t do any aftercare after removal. All I did was take the medication the hospital gave me (probably antibiotics..) for two days.. It was removed through a closed approach, and the doctor told me to apply something like Fucidin to the incision area, but I was too lazy to do even that.. I asked the doctor three times to prescribe me Rizaben because I wanted to try taking it, but he wouldn’t, so I was going to get it prescribed at another clinic. But I don’t have any nose-tightening symptoms, so I’m just not taking it.. I heard I should massage a lot and do warm compresses, so I even bought a heat pack in advance, but from reviews it sounded like people become swollen-nosed every morning, and I don’t have that either, so I didn’t do warm compresses.. I heard many people massage and loosen the nasal tip, but my nose isn’t lifting upward, there isn’t much change in shape before and after removal, and I actually thought this looked better than going back to my original nose, so I didn’t massage at all. I heard that when you go out in the cold, it hardens firmly and feels tight, so I bought two masks to alternate wearing, but even when I go out in the cold, I feel nothing, so I don’t wear masks either.. I was going to buy and take supplements too, but I just take the vitamin C I was already taking only when I remember.. I used to have a lot of sebum on my nasal tip, but it’s all gone.. This is really so nice.. My makeup always lifted on the nasal tip because of the sebum.. When I sighed, I used to have a cold, stinging sensation from the nasal bridge to the nasal tip, but gradually the bridge became less cold and only the tip felt cold, and now that it’s almost a month, the cold sensation has completely disappeared.. Anyway.. It seems like many people who are thinking about removal are very worried, so I’m giving this one-month progress update to let you know there are also people like me who are totally fine.. Of course, in my case I didn’t have any nasal tip manipulation at all and it was just simple augmentation rhinoplasty, so that may be part of it, but please don’t worry excessively in advance.. Ah.. and I’m originally the type whose face and body don’t swell easily.. Even when I had my nose done, people say they swell up like a lion, but I didn’t have that either, and originally even if I eat ramyeon and go straight to sleep, I’m fine in the morning.. Even if I cry for a couple of hours, my eyes swell for about 30 minutes and that’s it.. the swelling goes down quickly too.. When you search posts related to removal, there are many people who only say they’re getting it removed and don’t write much afterward.. I think those people are probably like that because the removal went well.. For me too, once I had the removal done, since there were fewer problems than I expected, I stopped coming into this community often.. Even when I tried to write a review, there were no symptoms(?) to write about, so I ended up not writing.. But the people messaging me seemed so worried, so I’m just leaving this post to help you feel reassured.
