I had facial contouring and a nose job 2 years ago, and my face became a lot prettier than before, so I was living quite happily in my own way. The contouring surgery left my jawbone a bit uneven, so I was stressed about that, but even so I looked much better than before, and my nose became very natural and not too high. People didn’t realize I’d had surgery at all. It didn’t become a perfectly pinched pig nose, but it was still kind of soft and natural-looking, and anyway nobody knew I’d had surgery. Even my boyfriend said it was impossible when I told him I’d had surgery, like “Don’t be ridiculous, lol,” and only admitted it after touching it.. Anyway, it wasn’t a celebrity-level pretty nose, but it just fit my image, a round, soft nose.. So before, I was just an ordinary girl, but when I walked down the street guys would ask for my number, and when the surgery glow was really working and I was pretty, three or four people would literally chase after me the moment I stepped outside (don’t curse at me for bragging, because I’m saying this only because I miss the face I ruined so much now...) My mom runs a shop, and even the customers and older people there would say I was so pretty they wanted me as their daughter-in-law.. I had a Mun Ka-young kind of image, not an outrageously glamorous beauty, but a plain, wholesome kind of pretty... a natural beauty anyone could tell at a glance. But greed really brought trouble... Because my face was so plain and kind, I wanted it to look more glamorous and refined... After 2 years, the nose I had done before had also started to droop a bit.... So a month ago I had nose surgery, fat grafting, and chin reduction surgery... I really want to die.... Until it had been less than a month, even if my face looked strange I comforted myself by saying, yes, it must be swelling... let’s just hold on a little longer... But I had surgery on 2/1, and now it’s been a month. My closest friend saw my face and immediately said, “What are you going to do....” and my mom has even lost the will to live because of me.. My family is already extremely conservative, so every time I’ve had surgery we fought so hard it felt like the roof of the house would fly off, and my mom was almost in a state of giving up anyway.. Still, what my mom said was that last time, even though you came back after having surgery like that, honestly she was secretly so happy because I got prettier that she wasn’t angry to that extent... But this time she said, “What are we really supposed to do now?” My face has really turned mean and artificial-looking. If the artificial look were pretty, I wouldn’t even complain... I did choose that hospital partly because I wanted something like that.. But the side profile is truly art.. literally like a painting..... It’s too forced, isn’t it... Who would look at this and think it’s a human nose? It’s a doll’s nose.... I’m not a celebrity, and I’m not going to be doing a photoshoot from the side profile anyway... And maybe because of the fat grafting making my forehead feel heavy, or because of the AlloDerm they placed between my brows, my eyes have also become harsher.... That eye area is driving me even more crazy now... My forehead was already broad, and even if it wasn’t as protruding as a doll forehead, it had a natural and pretty shape like Shin Min-a’s forehead. Everyone said it was a million-dollar forehead... But now my forehead looks too wide from the side, and my mom says it’s a “huge forehead”..... I asked the manager, and she said the fat will all go away 100 percent, and to keep doing warm compresses... Then the nose... I can somehow endure the side profile even if it’s artificial... but the columella is crooked. I asked the doctor, and he admitted it and said he would do a revision, but he didn’t say he’d made a mistake; he said that as the nose healed, the pulling force on each side was different so it tilted like that. Since the columella is crooked, of course the nostrils are uneven too.. And because the nose was raised too aggressively, why are the nostrils so visible now...? Before, you couldn’t even see them. Now they’re fully exposed, and it honestly looks so vulgar.... And the “cat nose” procedure I had also needs to be fixed again because the center is crooked now... Maybe because the center is crooked, one side of the alar wing has dropped down heavily. There was asymmetry before too, but except in photos I couldn’t tell just by looking at it, and neither could my friends or family.. But now one side of my nose has completely drooped down.. And because of the cat implant, it seems like my nose looks even wider ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Because of that, my philtrum seems longer too. Among the people reading this, has anyone had cat nose surgery..? Or had it and then removed it..? According to the doctor, if I remove it, the balance of the nose will collapse so I shouldn’t... It feels so unnatural and I can feel the foreign object there.... Honestly, the slightly protruding mouth shape I had before looks more comfortable and even cuter.. And the underdeveloped chin... I’m definitely going to remove this one.... If I remove it, will something go wrong?? Will the chin fat become distorted or something...? They did it on a chin that didn’t suit me at all, so my lower face is truly a disaster. It looks huge, like Choi Hong-man..... I have so much more to say besides this, but I’m exhausted from crying and don’t even have the strength to ask anything more or vent anymore..... Please just comfort me........ I miss my original nose so much, but I’m scared to remove anything because it feels like I overdid it too much with rib cartilage, AlloDerm, and the nose itself, and I’m afraid of getting contracture or something... And when I think about whether this overworked nose will collapse again in a few years, and how grotesque it would be if it does collapse again, I get so, so scared... I really wish I had just lived with my old nose. Why did I do this to myself? I really want to kick myself.... I’m someone who is very sensitive about appearance, and I feel like I’m going to die like this. Even if my friends are ugly, I’m so jealous when I see a natural-looking face... And when I look at my mom, who was born a natural beauty and aged gracefully, she’s so pretty... I worry about whether I’ll end up looking like Kim Soo-mi when I get old.... They said they’ll do the revision with no complaints, but I’m terrified even of getting revision surgery... If, as the doctor says, the nose tilted because the pulling force wasn’t balanced, then there’s no law saying the same thing won’t happen again during revision surgery. Even if they say they’ll revise it, I’m so scared I feel like I’m going to die. I need to earn money too, but I’ve already been off work since February... My face is at the point where I can’t even go outside, so obviously I’ll probably have to keep resting until May (the revision date)... and then I’ll probably have to stay holed up until almost July.. That’s such a huge financial loss too... I work in service, so there’s no way I can work with this face.. The money I saved is running out, and leaning on my mom feels so shameful I feel like I’m going to die.. Right now I’m even selling off all the luxury bags I bought over the years.. But even those aren’t selling well... What’s shocking is that the last time I went in for a revision consultation, the doctor yelled and kicked me out lol. He was literally shouting at the top of his lungs.. My cousin who came with me was already angry from home because of the face I’d ruined, so she started off pretty strongly, saying what on earth had happened to my face. The doctor responded by saying my original nose shape was like that, and that because I kept looking in the mirror too often after surgery, I was only noticing things like that, and told me to go outside, look at my old photos with the manager, and come back in... Then when my sister said that made no sense and got upset (of course she did; instead of calmly explaining, he told us to go outside and look at old photos), the doctor suddenly blew up and said, “Get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” and stuff like that lol. He was yelling so loudly that all the managers came running in... and all the patients outside were shocked and staring.. I was so speechless and shocked I was trembling on the spot lol. I’ve seen patients yelling and making scenes, but a doctor doing that is really... How could I ever get revision surgery peacefully at a hospital like that...? Seriously, that doctor was ridiculous........ Of course my sister was wrong for getting angry from the start, but how upset must she have been to react that way? How angry must she have been because her family member’s face was ruined...? And I spent ten million won at that hospital.... Spent ten million won and my face got ruined... Isn’t it abnormal for someone not to be angry? If the doctor can’t even understand that.. I really think there’s something wrong with his character from the ground up. I’m not someone who’s had surgery just once or twice, and I’m not the type to stubbornly insist on something impossible. I’m not asking to make something impossible beautiful either. But at the very least, if they took ten million won, they should have made it prettier than the previous nose, right...? But nobody around me says I got prettier, so all I hear is people clicking their tongues... After all that chaos, I was talking with the consultation manager in another room, and in yet another room someone presumed to be a patient’s mother was also shouting and fighting loudly... Honestly, I went there because everyone said this hospital was really good, but when I look at the patients coming for treatment, they’re all people who had work done here, weren’t satisfied, and are coming back for another revision/service visit.. So I keep seeing the same faces when I go to the hospital... Maybe that’s why the place is so packed with patients... Is it because of the existing patients’ aftercare plus new patients... that it’s so crowded.... If it were up to me, I’d rather not get revision surgery and get a refund, then go to another hospital that will do it naturally and have it done there... But a refund is probably impossible even if I die, since I signed all those consent forms and everything... The only things that can probably be blamed as malpractice are the crooked columella, the crooked center of the cat implant (but the doctor claims that could happen during recovery too).. That’s about it, so there’s no way I can get a refund from that.. Right now I’m just waiting for the revision date two months from now and hoping it gets better, and taking the manager’s words that there’s still a lot of swelling left because it’s only been a month as my one ray of hope. Even if I’m crying and making a scene like this now, I hope that a month later I’ll really look so much prettier that I can go to the hospital and apologize for all this... But I’m not someone who’s had plastic surgery just once or twice... Even if the swelling somehow improves, I don’t think this meaner, more vulgar image can ever get better.. And for those of you who are hesitating about surgery now... I want to beg you not to do it. Once you touch your nose, you have to keep doing it every few years... and every time you touch it, the shape gets weird too. The surgery costs keep going up too. If nobody is looking at your nose and saying, “Why is your nose like that?” then if you’re only doing it to become pretty, don’t do it... I regret it so much... The fact that you have to keep getting nose surgery regularly until you get old and give up on beauty also... These days technology has advanced, plastic surgery turns out well, and there are so many people who become prettier, right? And looking at the before-and-after review photos people post, plastic surgery really does seem tempting. I was like that too, always looking at celebrity photos and thinking about what I’d have to do to become like that... My mom says I’m addicted to plastic surgery... because until now, among all the surgeries I’ve had, I’ve never experienced failure. But my mom said something before... There’s no guarantee that the 1% risk of a surgical complication won’t happen to you. Just like my mom said, that’s exactly what happened this time.. And the people you see online are all the successful cases, so that’s why they posted them.. Beneath that surface, there are many more people suffering because their plastic surgery went wrong....
