I had buried stitches done on Saturday (September 11). But I misunderstood the date and missed the call to come in for disinfection 3 days later (that following Monday, September 13). Since it was only 3 days after surgery, I thought they wouldn't disinfect that quickly, so I misunderstood and thought it would be the following Monday (September 20)... So I went to the hospital today (September 20). And today, on day 9, I went to the hospital and had the buried stitches removed. Question: 1. After the buried-stitch procedure, I got the date wrong and couldn't go in for disinfection that day. But when I complained to the hospital, saying that if I didn't come, they should have called me, they told me not to worry because since it was buried stitches, not an incision, disinfection wasn't necessary... They didn't apologize. But is it really okay not to disinfect buried stitches? The hospital is so careless. I'm angry over something pointless too. 2. They told me to come in for disinfection the following Monday, after the Saturday buried-stitch procedure (so 3 days later), but I thought that Monday meant the Monday after next... that is, 9 days later, so I went in today, and they removed the stitches today. Is it really okay to remove buried stitches that late? I still have swelling too... I'm worried. Why do they do things this way;;;; Am I worrying for nothing? Please answer!!!! ㅠㅠ
