I’m leaving a review because having liposuction once 6 years ago was so difficult. The hospital I went to was a plastic surgery clinic in Apgujeong, and there was a director there whose main focus was liposuction. (This person has now moved to a clinic with a number in its name.) What I remember is that I was anesthetized and fell asleep, but when I woke up halfway in a daze, my abdomen hurt so much, maybe because it had been incised and sutured, but the liposuction had barely been done. After I came to my senses a bit and heard what happened, they said, “This should have been done under general anesthesia. Your sleep apnea was too severe,” apologized, and said I would have to come back one more time. I think it was really hard, looking back now. After that, at another hospital, I think they brought in an anesthesiologist for the day, and while that anesthesiologist was making jokes about the state of the hospital and saying things that sounded like construction-site workers would say, I ended up undergoing general anesthesia while hearing that he seemed to be in conflict with the hospital staff. First of all, the time spent waiting was so~~~ painful, and although I wasn’t that satisfied with the result, I think they performed the suction in a way that prioritized safety. When I got a revision consultation at another hospital, another doctor also judged that they had left an appropriate amount behind. The doctor seemed skilled enough to have been scouted by a liposuction-specialty hospital, but in the end, the hospital being too small was also a problem. If someone with fairly severe obesity is planning to have liposuction before dieting, I think it would be good to do it at a large hospital with an anesthesiologist on staff.
