In the review photos, there were also many semi-out styles that matched the look I prefer, so I had an online consultation and decided to get surgery (I agonized over it so much). Reason for revision surgery: I had non-incisional double-eyelid surgery in 2016 or 2017, but my eyes were uneven: one side was a sunken eye and the other was a protruding eye, so my right eye, which is the sunken eye, was prone to the line coming undone. Starting in 2019, it seemed like the right eye was coming undone, and then it got so bad that I decided to have surgery early this year. Even though I’d had non-incisional surgery twice, it still came undone, so I was wondering if I needed an incisional method, and I decided to choose the surgical method based on the doctor’s opinion. Originally, I wanted to do an upper epicanthoplasty together, but after he kept testing the line, at the very end he said there was no need to do an upper epicanthoplasty, and that we should remove more fat from the upper eyelid to improve the fixation strength of the line. I didn’t really want an incision because of scarring ㅠㅠ (since I might do it again someday..) In the end, after consulting with the doctor, he said he was confident he could tie it carefully and securely so it wouldn’t come undone, so I trusted him and had the surgery again with the non-incisional method, and I’m completely satisfied now!! The one slight regret I have is that I should have done lateral + lower canthoplasty together too lol I really think his hand skills are good, because even when I close my eyes, it doesn’t show at all... It looks like I never had surgery. Since I had an online consultation and then surgery, I was a bit scared, but the doctor checked the design so meticulously (I had gone around to consultations elsewhere, but I’d never seen a place like this before). It felt like he checked the line while poking for about 30 minutes. He also worked hard comparing the symmetry of both eyes, and he was so passionate... During the consultation, I kept thinking, ah, I came to the right place. I want to have the surgery soon. lol He reflected the look I wanted well, and the front desk staff and operating-room nurses were all so kind, and I was grateful. It was my first time under sedation anesthesia, so toward the end it was hard and my legs twitched a little, but the nurse held my hand and legs, and after I woke up from anesthesia and walked out, they supported me and talked to me, so I was so, so grateful...ㅠㅠ I don’t think I’ll forget that.. Since it was revision surgery, I thought the swelling would last quite a long time, but from around the second month, I think it became fairly presentable. To reduce swelling quickly, I think I took a one-hour walk every day for a whole month ㅠㅠ I also drank things like swelling-reducing tea, but I don’t think that really had much effect.
