It’s week 3 after removal. First of all, my overall image has returned, but my columella still has not returned to the way it was before. In the past, when I saw reviews from people at week 2 or week 3 after removal, it felt like a long time, but now that it has actually been 3 weeks since my removal, I realize it is an extremely short time for my tissues, which had the nose opened twice within one month, to return. My current situation in detail is this. My overall image has returned, and if I look only at the columella itself, it still feels short, but because the overall image has returned, should I say it is at least somewhat covered? I can still feel a lot of contraction in the columella area and the nasal tip area right above the columella.. Especially the columella is very taut. Of course, the outer skin has become much softer. Until week 2 after removal, both inside and outside felt generally hard and contracted, and now the outer skin, except for the columellar incision area, feels soft overall.. but the inner skin feels very taut, centered around the areas that were cut a lot. Also, until week 2 it just generally felt contracted and hard, but as it approached week 3.... instead of the overall hard feeling getting better.. several times a day, I feel the columella and nasal tip area contract and suddenly pull tight. Especially when I talk a lot or when it’s dry, I suddenly get this feeling several times a day. When I look in the mirror during that feeling, I don’t feel like my nose has suddenly become much shorter, but maybe just emotionally, the columella also looks slightly short. I do think the columella will definitely improve with time. Because,,, that area is extremely clumped up, and I strongly feel like it is pulling on the columella... even when I try massaging it, it feels that way.. But.. I think it will be a fight with time. It means this is something I need to watch over months, not weeks.. On top of that, I had open surgery twice within one month, so the wound area is sunken in, bulging above the open-surgery scar.. and below the open-surgery scar, the tissue is being pulled upward... Once the contraction in the open-surgery scar area loosens, and the contraction in the nasal tip area overall also loosens a bit, I think it will soften and improve.. Naturally... it will probably take some time. Still.. when you look at me, it doesn’t look like I’m not myself, or abnormal, or anything like that. It’s just that when I look at it, I can still feel that area hurting. So those who are planning removal, don’t worry too much. It’s not strange^^ And.. seeing that the time I spend looking in the mirror is decreasing a lot as time passes, I’ve improved a lot psychologically. As I got close to week 3, touching my nose has become natural now, and kissing my baby and things like that are not totally unrestricted, but I can do them to the point where it doesn’t bother me. There were times when I thought only about my nose all day... But thoughts about my nose are gradually decreasing^^ I really think removing the implant was the right thing to do. At least in my case. I have a sensitive personality, so I realized I am absolutely not destined to live with an implant inserted. Anyway, my mind has become comfortable. I have some breathing room too. But since I’m human too. Sometimes, a few times a day, I look at the columella area and my heart drops, and I wonder whether this will get better.. that happens... But it seems to be improving, even if only very slightly.. so I’m not extremely anxious or anything.. Anyway.. everyone, stay strong. Personally, I really, really oppose surgery that inserts an implant into the nose. Whether Gore-Tex or silicone.. someday, if you’re unlucky, inflammation could happen... and when I saw a contracted nose after inflammation.. it was really scary... If you really want to do it,, please don’t remove cartilage.. insert an implant.. and all that... I think it would be better to do it only lightly, to the extent of tying your own cartilage.... After my surgery, when I learned about silicone inflammation and became anxious, my doctor said this. It occurs in only 1 out of 10 people.. why are you worrying so much.. After hearing that, I became even more anxious and had it removed. Not 1 out of 100. Not 1 out of 1000. Saying it was 1 out of 10.. and trying to reassure me with that.. ㅠㅠ Then that means 10 out of 100. And 100 out of 1000.. I was dumbfounded.. really.. These days, when I think about this, I get pointlessly angry. Still, there are more people who have rhinoplasty without inflammation and live well. Statistically too.. So I think it depends on your personality. If you worry a lot and are sensitive like me, I am absolutely against rhinoplasty!!! Anyway, I’ll keep leaving reviews going forward Fighting!!! Oh right, one thing to keep in mind. After removal, it wasn’t that I felt like my columella had gone inward.. It looked worse right after the surgery.. The feeling that the columella looked completely short and had curled inward.. But.. right after removal, that feeling was actually better than right after surgery.. although not compared with before surgery... ^^ Please keep that in mind
