I had contouring surgery on all 3 areas, and after surgery I raised my pillow high, so when I wake up after sleeping I’m clenching my teeth. I’ve been trying not to use my masseter muscles as much as possible, so I even swallow food without chewing. It’s fixed in place, but I want it to heal neatly without any gaps. So I intentionally sleep with my mouth open enough that one to one and a half fingers can fit in, and I also keep my mouth open on purpose even during the day. But after doing this for about ten days, my cheekbones and cheeks feel stiff, so... Does the masseter still get used even if you sleep with your mouth open? I can’t sleep because I keep thinking I was ignorant and used my masseter all day long in such a stupid way I’m also telling myself that one side of my cheekbone swelling is just swelling, and the other side was fine, but after sleeping with my mouth open it seems to have protruded more
