Male Non-Incisional Ptosis Correction Review

Before surgery The night of surgery Currently, with my eyes opened wide Currently, with my eyes opened comfortably I’ll take the photos down tomorrow Summary first: It turned out natural and I’m satisfied. What I emphasized to the doctor was that, if possible, the less visible the line was, the better, and even if it did show, I wanted it to show only from the middle of the eye to the outer end. It ended up barely visible. I also thought uneven eyes had their own charm, so I wasn’t too concerned about it, but surprisingly, he balanced them really well. I only wanted it to feel like the naturally drooping eyelids from my original eyes had been lifted, and what I worried about most was that even if my eyes opened up more, it might look awkward and change my image from before. I’m extremely satisfied on that point. Highly recommend the director~ I had already gone for consultations twice, so communication with the doctor was already all set. The doctor showed me 4, 5, 6, and 7 mm one more time and asked which one I liked, and I told him I had made up my mind on 5 mm. He said he would do 5 on the left and 5.5 on the right, taking my uneven eyes into account, so I said okay, he drew the initial draft above my eyes, and I went into the operating room. I lay down in the operating room, got the needle inserted and had various things done, and then the director came in, but at first I was startled because I thought it was someone else. His voice sounded different, and from my angle his face looked upside down, plus he was wearing something like lighted surgical glasses, so I couldn’t see his face properly and got flustered. It’s also a two-doctor clinic, and while consulting I hadn’t worried even 1% about something like a substitute surgery, but in that moment all kinds of thoughts went through my head. Should I ask, “You are Dr. KTH, right?” Would he think I’m weird? I was thinking that, but as I kept hearing him tell me to close my eyes and open them, I realized it was the director haha;; During the consultation, his speech and gestures had a very gentle, scholarly vibe, but in the operating room he spoke with a strong voice. Anyway, I remember that even in the operating room he had me close and open my eyes for quite a while while drawing the line, but because of the sleep anesthesia my memories are a bit mixed, so I’m not certain. Even when I came to, I was still following instructions to close and open my eyes, and I had no awareness that I had fallen asleep in the middle, so the only thing I remember is saying, right after waking up in a dazed state, “I don’t think I slept.” What I was really thinking inside just came out of my mouth without any filtering. The nurse heard it and said, “You did fall asleep~” and when I came to my senses and thought about it, I felt a bit embarrassed. I don’t know if I said other nonsense in the middle too. I came out of the operating room and went to the recovery room, but honestly, I just wanted to go home. Maybe it’s a habit; even when I had appendicitis surgery in elementary school, I wandered around before the anesthesia had fully worn off, and this time too I just wanted to move around,,, But my eyes felt like they weren’t opening properly, so I thought I should quietly do an ice pack before leaving and slept a bit. The recovery room was clean and cozy. After resting for a decent amount of time, I got up, but opening my eyes still felt a bit stiff and awkward, so I wondered if this was normal and looked in the mirror. The line had turned out really naturally, and at a glance I felt like at least it definitely hadn’t gone badly. As the doctor said, the right side was a little higher, and overall, once the swelling went down, I thought it would give the inner double-eyelid look I wanted. Then I went home, and the stiffness when opening my eyes disappeared quickly. I went outside, wore sunglasses until the bus came, and walked around Gangnam Station briefly, and it seems like it all disappeared during that time. And I could definitely feel the effect of the ptosis correction. Like my eyes opened more naturally? There’s a subtle feeling that opening my eyes became lighter and a bit more refreshed. As soon as I had that thought, I got worried about lagophthalmos, so I tried closing my eyes, and they closed well. Well, it was non-incisional after all. There wasn’t much swelling to begin with, so I thought it would go down quickly, and now on day 5, all the swelling is gone. My satisfaction with the surgery is the same as in the summary. The swelling has already completely gone down, so I don’t think the line will change much from here. I think I’d be disappointed if it went any lower than this, but it’ll probably just become more natural in this state. The adhesion still hasn’t fully settled yet, so the line is visible when I close my eyes. I wanted the line to be almost invisible from the front and visible from the side, so I’m extremely satisfied. My eyes definitely feel bigger, more of the pupils are exposed, and even when I put less effort into my eyes, they open wider than before surgery. The most fascinating thing is that he corrected the uneven eyes by setting the right side 0.5 mm higher. When I open my eyes wide, the right side is definitely bigger, but when I open them comfortably, both sides match in size. I wasn’t too concerned about uneven eyes, so I didn’t really mention it during the consultation, but the doctor brought it up several times. Looking at it now, my eyes had pseudoptosis, so the issue was drooping eyelids rather than my eye-opening strength, and my right eye had slightly weaker opening strength than the left, making it look more closed and uneven. It’s amazing and I’m grateful that the director caught that well and handled it perfectly on his own. Also, when I first came back after surgery, the inner corners of my eyes looked a bit narrower than before, kind of fox-like? so I wondered if it looked awkward, but once the swelling went down, it became natural. I hope this is even a little helpful for men considering eye surgery~~
