I had surgery last Monday and got the stitches removed today, but my eyes feel so tight and won't close, so because of the tearing I can't go about daily life. I chose the two-line incision technique because lagophthalmos was taken into consideration, but the lagophthalmos has become so severe that I don't know what to do now. Did they secretly excise skin, or what? They say my eyes won't close because, to prevent re-adhesion, they pulled the fat down and the pushing force from that is causing it, but when I searched the initials of the hospital where I had surgery in this community, apparently everyone got lagophthalmos there, haha. So I don't want to go back to the hospital where I had surgery for aftercare/revision. For severe lagophthalmos like this, what kind of surgery can make my eyes go back to how they were before?? Brokers, seriously, please don't operate on my post. What hospital is good at treating extreme eyes like this? What surgery should I get?

까아밍 Oh my god, that's so severe, your eyes won't close
아나죠 Lagophthalmos got better after 3 months. Mine was like that too

청순한년 Could I know which hospital it is..? I hope you recover well. It doesn't feel like someone else's problem
돌멩핑 The most important things are whether you had ptosis correction and how much skin was excised.. If you had ptosis correction, it can be released, but I don't know about skin excision. Go back to the hospital and ask how the surgery was done. You need to know the surgical method that was used for revision surgery to go more smoothly too.. I know because I've had eyes that wouldn't close too, so take good care of them by using lots of eye ointment and artificial tears

브로커개사절 Mine wasn't the two-line incision technique, but I had a lot of fat removed through an incision, and I also had lagophthalmos for about 3 weeks to a month. My eyes wouldn't close and a lot of the whites showed. I had surgery on 2/1, and now they close completely. It gets better with time! But it varies by case, so I can't say anything for certain

위로더 Wow... it does vary by case, but I have heard there are cases where it gets better with time

마르니힝 Oh my god, which hospital is it..? Shouldn't you get aftercare/revision?
pepcci It's my first time hearing of both the two-line incision technique and lagophthalmos.. So there is a risk....!! I really hope you get better quickly!!
무다리타파 It got better after some time passed
지벡 Lagophthalmos definitely does get better
포도시루 Whoa...Not being able to close your eyes is pretty severe??? First, you’ll probably need some interval before AS anyway, so let’s wait just a little longer
Reader 34 This is a private post.
아갓어뽀이 They say it does get better, but you must be so distressed

이지pz Oh no That must be so uncomfortable
미니몸 Could I possibly know where it is?
듀아아라아 When I had my eyes done before, one side wouldn’t close either,, but after time passed and the swelling went down, it closed Stay strong

개피곤햅 I had lagophthalmos too, but after about 2 months?? after surgery, it disappeared! It’s probably because of swelling, so don’t worry too much

옹마 Did you have ptosis correction done too? If they cut out skin, wouldn’t they tell you before cutting?
구름이네 What does the hospital say?? It will probably come down with time, but it looks a bit severe
베리 Where did you get it done? Dr. Cho In-chang at BIO is famous
ipse [@] Right, but that person is a bit older I’m also looking into it because of a double-line excision problem like you, but I’m hesitating because Dr. Cho is a bit older.. Do you possibly know anywhere else?
개굴개굴개굴 I was like that early on after double-line excision too, but it came down after time passed
yani5124 Did you possibly get it done in Sinsa?
gjw87 Oh no...;; Where did you get it done..?? I really hope it comes down
사랑하는파란하늘 Oh no, if it’s the eyes, it must be really uncomfortable

잠원동휴그랜트 First, I think you need to get the swelling down Even if you get revision surgery, they say it’s only possible after some time has passed
해리카네 No, whatever it is, they should at least make it possible to look natural. How can they make it so you can’t even close your eyes? I’m getting angry
야자쑤 Looks like the swelling needs to go down
체리애플파이 It’s too severe?? Try taking swelling medication
새우깡짱 It’s too severe.. For a side effect this bad, their medical license should really be taken away
웅돌 I think you need early correction
홍길동이7 If it hasn’t been long since surgery, I do think you need to watch it a bit until the swelling goes down... But since it directly affects daily life, it must be uncomfortable.....
마봉이 What should you do~ Others say to wait a bit more, but when daily life is impossible, I know from experience how hellish that time is. First, since dry eye can develop, sleep with an eye patch, put in artificial tears frequently, and watch a bit more to see whether your eyes close while sleeping. If it still doesn’t work, you can have recession surgery to make your eyes close, so don’t worry too much. In the meantime, pay plenty of attention to your eye health.
눈눈눈두 They really should take away that doctor’s license... If other people’s reviews are like that too, they should give refunds, seriously;;
asfkkkd I think you need to ask about early correction
Reader 82 This is a private post.
크루렐라 That does partly seem due to swelling, but I think it’s a bit severe. For now, call the hospital where you had surgery and ask them to check your condition... Even if you get a consultation, if you feel this place isn’t right, look for another hospital Oh no
Eink I was like that, and it came down compared with the beginning, “compared with the beginning”
꿀떡시루떡 Oh no, what should you do… Is the swelling still there?
엥음어 I do think you need to go back for a consultation
우하허하 Seriously, even such common double eyelid surgery, they can’t do properly and make lagophthalmos.. You’re going through so much, everyone Have you been to another hospital?
까아밍 Try drinking swelling tea or taking medicine at least
초크하니 Did you possibly have ptosis correction done together when you had double eyelid surgery?
Reader 90 This is a private post.
바클라바 First, go to the hospital, report this condition, and make sure to get proper aftercare.. It seems like it must be so hard
imee Wow, that’s seriously too much.. They should at least make your eyes close
뉸랴 Try consulting Suwon ㅊㅈㅎ and ㄷㅈㅅㅁ They’re famous for ptosis correction
아이 Oh no What should you do? How’s the swelling..??
뽐뿜빵 Why are there so many irresponsible hospitals.. Stay strong, OP!..

망망29 I also had a revision surgery consultation, and I’m having surgery this month, so seeing things like this makes me so scared.. Has it gotten a bit better???
Reader 98 This is a private post.

밍밍이2234 Eek, is it in Gangnam? You must be going through so much emotionally...

pk3179 Oh no.. Looking at the comments, there are people who said it got a bit better over time, but still, that looks a bit severe. They should at least make it so your eyes can close.. If it doesn’t improve after a month or two, I think you should ask them to correct it.
완두콩야 You must be going through so much emotionally
맘맘이이 They say even severe lagophthalmos eventually closes. I had a little too, and it took a month. If you wait a little longer, it’ll close. Fighting
딱볶이 Oh my god, you must be going through so much emotionally. Some people say it closes with time, so it must be hard, but I think it’d be good to watch it a little longer.
abarata You must be going through so much emotionally… Stay strong..
빵순쓰 I had double eyelid surgery 10 years ago, and at first my eyes didn’t close completely. Back then I didn’t know anything, so I didn’t know it was a side effect and just lived with it, but whenever I suddenly thought about it I felt a bit anxious. But now they close completely.

몰토 It must be weighing on your mind a lot
제일안전 I also had double-line release, and double-line release is honestly such a bad surgery But separate from that, the lagophthalmos may possibly close. Mine also almost wouldn’t close in the early period, so I had to put in ointment eye drops? that thing, to sleep, but later it did end up closing completely. For now, don’t worry..

she98 That must have been really scary… How is it now?
미소시루떡 It must be hard right now... Still, there are people who say it closes again after time passes, so I think waiting a little might also be good.
