I'm a man, and this was my first cosmetic surgery. This isn't a post with a huge amount of information, but I thought it might be good to know that cases like this exist. For reference, I wanted a natural-looking surgery. Rather than wanting to make my nose much higher, I wanted to improve how, from the front, the area between the nasal bridge and dorsum looked slightly sunken, and on top of that, my nasal tip drooped downward and my nostrils were too visible. I didn't know anything about rhinoplasty, so after searching on my own, I found out that lowering the visible nostril show is called nostril lowering, apparently? From then on, I only looked into nostril lowering. So when looking for hospitals, I searched a lot for hospitals good at nostril lowering, and after getting information that one place was good at nostril lowering and revision surgery, I visited exactly one hospital. During the consultation, the director also looked at my nose and recommended nostril lowering. He said it would be more dramatic if I reduced the alar wings (nostril wings) together, but I had never thought about reducing the alar wings, and I wanted to avoid touching anything else as much as possible, so I said I didn't want to. So I only did correction of the drooping nasal tip and nostril lowering. Maybe because it wasn't a major surgery, recovery was really fast. Bruising and swelling were minimal from the start, and I also tend to recover quickly. To say the result, it turned out really natural, like I was born with this nose. The one thing I regret is that I should have reduced the alar wings like the director said. If I had, I think the line would have looked better. Still, it turned out really natural, so I'm quite satisfied.
