This was my second revision double eyelid surgery, and since I had an incisional method before, I did incisional again + ptosis correction together It had been so long since my previous surgery that I don’t remember the swelling-reduction process, and people commonly say the major swelling from double eyelid surgery goes down after about a month So I went onto the operating table thinking it would take one month, but forget one month, it’s now the second month and the swelling isn’t going down.. But after searching online, a lot of people say incisional swelling starts going down from 3 months, so fine, I can accept that The serious problem starts here Swelling is one thing, but up until week 2, I really felt like the swelling was noticeably and clearly decreasing little by little, you know? But in week 3, I suddenly woke up one day and my right eye was much more swollen than before I tried putting on makeup, and because I have severe dry eye, when I wore lenses the first time I did makeup, my right eye hurt so much So I thought it was temporarily swollen and would go down with time, but it still hasn’t gone down… (it’s been two months) +After that, I completely stopped wearing lenses or doing eye makeup +The clinic suspected an internal stye and told me to go to an ophthalmologist, so I went, but they said there was no problem with my eye except for a little dry eyeㅠ And around week 3, when my right eye started swelling more than before, I felt like my left eye also gradually started swelling a bit more So I asked the clinic, and they confidently said To roughly summarize, when skin is cut with a knife, it doesn’t attach back together right away; after some time it attaches, hardens, and the wound disappears, right? So from week 3 to 3 months is the adhesion period, when the incised double eyelid line is adhering, and as the tissues firmly attach to each other, swelling can actually get worse than before during this time, and they told me to wait because the swelling would finally go down at around 3 months They said it so confidently that I had nothing to say… In my life, I’ve seen countless people worried because their swelling wasn’t going down, but I’ve never seen even one person whose swelling was going down and then suddenly got worse, so I’m really worriedㅠㅠ I’m scared it’ll stay like this forever Has anyone like me had swelling that was going down, but then from week 3 to 1 month it actually got more swollen before going down?ㅠㅠ I’m so depressed and don’t want to live…
