My outer eye corners were upturned, so I got lateral canthoplasty because of that. I looked into hospitals that are good at lateral canthoplasty, went around for consultations at about 5 places, and after a lot of difficulty chose one place and had the surgery there. Lateral canthoplasty wasn’t as painful as I thought, and it actually ended pretty quicklyㅋㅋ Even after the surgery, my eyes felt totally fine, so I thought, “Ah... this is a simple surgery,” and went home feeling pretty relaxed. Butㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ from the next day, the swelling got enormous. Now it’s been about a month, so the swelling has gone down and the conjunctival edema has all healed, but until week 3 I really struggled because of my eyesㅠㅠㅠㅠ They say happiness comes after hardship, and my eyes are longer now and are recovering prettily without side effectsㅋㅋㅋ What I’m most satisfied with is that it turned out naturally!!! I totally recommend lateral canthoplasty for people with upturned outer eye corners!! I’m attaching photos from before surgery and now at one month, so please use them as referenceㅋ
