Breast Surgery Reviews@breast-review

Breast augmentation consultation review (ㅈㅇ/ㅂㅂ/ㅅㅇㅇ/ㄷㅌ)

Having small breasts had been a real complex for me since I was young, but I was scared of the surgery itself and the possible side effects afterward, so I kept putting it off.  Then, during the holiday period in early May, I suddenly thought that I should get the surgery.. I contacted all the hospitals I had been recommended or had looked into so far, plus places whose review photos had breast shapes I liked, booked consultations at the places that could fit into one day of annual leave, and went for the consultations. Since I also referred to a lot of posts here, I’m leaving this to share as a way of giving back. For reference, I visited four places in one day. (I thought, wow.. this is actually possible.. So I’ll write them in order of time_hospital initials, doctor initials.) For reference, the hospital list in the title is.. I thought hybrid might be more suitable for my body, so I narrowed it down to places known for hybrid procedures only. I had gained weight rapidly over the past year, so I wanted to remove some fat from my thighs and use it on top.. I also had very little base tissue to begin with. Before going, I first wrote down a list of my physical characteristics and concerns. If I were to have surgery, I wanted to work with a director who could understand the parts I was worried about and would actively try to solve them together with me. My physical concerns were as follows. - My torso is on the wider side, and my nipples and areolae are large. Compared with my breast size, they are positioned somewhat low and are spread outward. - My buttocks are large, and my pelvis is not wide. (Only my butt sticks out backward, and my hip dips are severe.) - I would like my overall body proportions (breasts and buttocks) to improve in a harmonious way. - My skin/flesh is firm, and I have a lot of muscle. (Even without really exercising, I tend to maintain above-average muscle mass.) - High possibility of dieting   (Since one of the side effects of the medication I had been taking for a year was increased appetite, I expected the weight would naturally come off. I’d like it to look natural even after dieting.) - When I lose weight, I tend to have no fat above the breasts. (The bones across my upper chest show very clearly.) - I scar easily, so minimizing scars is needed. - Priority is safety > aesthetics = feel > sensation. - Do I have accessory breast tissue?! If so, can it be addressed during surgery?? - I have high tension/anxiety, so I’d prefer the atmosphere not to be authoritarian. And since it was my first time going to breast consultations, I was worried I might not consult properly while taking notes, so I prepared a question-answer list in advance as below.. (Depending on the hospital, there are cases where you have to write things down yourself during the consultation, and cases where the consultant takes notes from behind.) Anyway, I thought having it would not be useless, so I’m sharing it. Of course, there are questions that are okay to ask once or twice and then skip, but I was also curious how each place would answer the same questions, so I generally asked them every time. (Sigh.. I want to organize it into a table...) For the detailed reviews, I’ll write about implants, comments related to hybrid, and incision. Recommended implant:  Left ( ), Right ( ) Whether hybrid is recommended: Recommended incision: Anesthesia method: Surgery time: Recovery period: Whether returning home alone is possible: Duration of corrective bra/compression garment wear: Postoperative care method: When exercise is possible after surgery: Possible expected side effects and improvement plans: (capsular contracture, calcification, left-right asymmetry, rupture, possibility of causing side effects with medications currently being taken) Available surgery reservation dates: Date by which reservation decision must be made: Cost: Discountable cost: Total cost: 10:30_ㅈㅇ, Director ㅅㅊㅎ Recommended implant: Motiva Mini 310 or Demi 340-320 Hybrid: Y, diameter is 15, so it needs coverage (they measured my breast diameter particularly larger than the other hospitals) Incision: armpit. Type 1 dual-plane under dual membrane (method leaving a little muscle to prevent bottoming out) If side effects occur: for revision surgery with existing implants, free surgery + anesthesia fee; if surgery is done with new implants, implant + anesthesia fee / recommended new implants 13:30_ㅂㅂ, Director ㄱㅁㄱ Recommended implant: Motiva, left (240), right (265) 240-260 Assessed that the breast pocket is positioned slightly high Hybrid: Y, planned extraction from the inner thigh/saddlebags Incision: armpit. Subfascial. On ultrasound, they said the fascia was sufficient Postoperative care method: Early: bleeding, inflammation, and swelling care, SmartLux 3 sessions Middle: from one week later, texture/feel care with CAPS, 3 sessions at one-week intervals Later: scar care, unlimited scar toning Hyperbaric oxygen care 2 sessions Corrective bra service, consultation fee provided as scar ointment If side effects occur: free care for 1 year 14:30_ㅅㅇㅇ, Director ㅂㅈㅎ (the consultant wrote on the leaflet + consultation card) Recommended implant: Motiva Demi right (380), left (360) Hybrid: not strictly necessary, but possible if desired Incision: armpit, dual plane (the membrane is not thin but tough?? That kind of feel, so dual plane was recommended as better) Postoperative care: Week 1: CAPS, Healite, radiofrequency Week 2, 1 month, 3 months: CAPS, Healite After 6 months: scar laser 18:00_ㄷㅌ, Director ㅇㅈㅇ (the consultant wrote on the leaflet + consultation card) Recommended implant: Motiva Demi 380/380 (breast asymmetry is not severe, so while removing the accessory breast tissue together, the fat generated from that can correct slight differences) Hybrid: not strictly necessary, but possible if desired Incision: armpit and inframammary fold both possible, subfascial recommended, dual plane possible if desired Postoperative care: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy: weeks 1 and 3 CAPS: days 7, 14, one month + 3 >> for 6 weeks SmartLux: days 1, 3, 7, 14, one month Spectra laser: monthly from 3 months Until the day before surgery, I was still debating between ㅅㅇㅇ and ㄷㅌ.. I seriously thought about it so much that I stayed up all night watching all the YouTube videos featuring the directors.. Both directors, even without me specifically saying it, picked up on and mentioned the concerns I had one by one and consulted in detail on how things could improve, and I was also impressed by how strict and confident they were about operating room cleanliness. The consultants also responded enthusiastically every time I asked questions and tried to accommodate me in various ways.. However, the date I originally wanted surgery was 5/2, but the consultant in charge at ㄷㅌ said that day was also possible, but if I did it on 4/30, wouldn’t it be better to have a schedule that allowed me to rest in case my condition unexpectedly declined? I thought that was reasonable.. (the point that using 1 day of annual leave would let me rest for 1 day versus 2 days) And ㅅㅇㅇ was not available on that schedule..ㅠㅠㅠㅠ When I watched the YouTube videos of each hospital’s director, with the ㄷㅌ director I could see more of his own thoughts..? about breast surgery. Looking at the career history, I wondered if he might be a bit more experienced.. I think those points were reflected in my decision.  My own thoughts about the condition of my breasts and the director’s judgment?? also matched a little more.. Overall, if ㅅㅇㅇ felt, in one word, like good vibes, ㄷㅌ felt like stability~~ so in the end I had the surgery at ㄷㅌ. As I wrote, this got too long.. Next time, I’ll try writing a surgery review.
