The director seemed extremely confident, said they had handled many cases even more difficult than mine, and that although it depends on the person, a case like mine is on the easier side for them. Can I trust a director who seems this incredibly confident...?? At other clinics, they all said I would need double-line excision, but this director told me that I actually have more skin laxity than expected. They said they would go into surgery with double-line excision in mind, but because double-line excision is a last resort and it is better to avoid it if possible, depending on the situation, they might be able to proceed with excision instead of double-line excision... Honestly, after hearing that I might not need double-line excision, and because the director seemed confident, I’m wondering if I should trust them once... Has anyone here had surgery with a director who was confident like this??? If so, please tell me your review ㅠㅠ I want to trust them, but I’m also anxious ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
냔니냔냔 This doesn’t feel like someone else’s problem, so I’m saying this, but how many clinics have you been to? If everyone says it can’t be done and only one person says it can, there’s a high chance that person may be the odd one. When I was looking into revision surgery too, I once got captivated by a doctor who was unusually confident and was the only one saying something different. You need to think carefully about whether you just want to believe it, or whether there’s actually a reliable basis to trust them. In my case it was the former, and when I went for a second consultation, the diagnosis itself was completely wrong, so I remember feeling devastated again ㅠ
쩨리리리리 [@냔니냔냔] I’ve been to about 4-5 places now ㅠㅠ Ha... exactly... But this director didn’t say it would definitely work either, just that there’s a possibility it could...ㅠㅠ Was there no fee when you went for the second consultation???
냔니냔냔 [@쩨리리리리] Mine was a clinic with no consultation fee ㅜ Take your time and look around more. You have nowhere else to retreat to anyway, and if it goes wrong this time, there really won’t be any answer after that, so I realized you have to go around spending small money like consultation fees freelyㅠ
Lalaby [@냔니냔냔] Listen carefully to what this person is saying... There isn’t a single wrong thing there.
지니지니볼 I think it would be better to go to several places, compare them, and then decide. Like the comment above said, if only one place says it can be done, it could just be sales talk. I think it would be good to go to at least 2-3 places so you can compare.
쩨리리리리 [@지니지니볼] I’ve been to about 4-5 places, and they all did say I’d probably need double-line excisionㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I should do a bit more legwork ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
피카피카츄우 How are the reviews? I think you need to compare that with their surgical experience and think it over. Check whether there were reviews from cases similar to yours too. Confidence does make them seem trustworthy, but the situation changes depending on experienceㅜ
쩨리리리리 [@피카피카츄우] They haven’t been at the new place for very long, and their previous clinic wasn’t one that did marketing, so there weren’t many reviewsㅜㅠㅠ They say the doctor is well-known in the plastic surgery field... The director did show me photos of patients they had operated on.. I think they looked okay, but I don’t remember well ㅠㅠ
쩨리리리리 [@피카피카츄우] And before I even asked, they identified and explained all the issues I had been thinking about and the points that needed improvement, so I was a bit surprised then... I think that’s why I want to trust them even more ㅠㅠ
