When getting double-eyelid revision surgery

When getting double-eyelid revision surgery, what is the difference between undoing the existing double eyelid and then doing the surgery versus doing it without undoing it? Usually, when people get revision surgery, they seem to do it without undoing the existing eyelid, but from what I can see, I feel like I need to undo my current eyelid to get the line I want, so I’m really conflicted. But then again, if I actually undo it, it might end up being unnecessary, and maybe because my eyes already have double eyelids, the doctors also seem to have a hard time judging it accurately. I keep thinking that if I undo the double eyelid, wait some time, and then set the line, wouldn’t I be able to create a new line closer to what I want? And if I don’t undo it, will the line not be set properly because it wasn’t undone? I do think the results would differ depending on whether it’s undone or not, but it’s hard to know exactly how they would differ. Has anyone tried this?
