It has been exactly one month since I had nose surgery with Director Lee Ji-hwan at ㅂㅌㅇ Plastic Surgery, so I’m leaving a review in case it helps people with similar concerns. I had already had non-surgical procedures several times, such as filler, Hiko, and Misko, and even people around me tried to stop me when I said I was getting surgery, saying, “Why bother?” I didn’t have major dissatisfaction with my appearance. So it wasn’t that I was extremely stressed or thought I had an ugly nose, but ever since I was young, nose surgery was one of the things on my bucket list that I thought, “Someday I definitely want to try it.” This time, as I had more time available, I naturally decided to have surgery, had a consultation at ㅂㅌㅇ, and proceeded there. Since it was my first surgery and the cost was.. not small, I did have concerns, but I trusted the consultation, so I paid on my first visit and scheduled it for the earliest possible date. Before surgery, I first got an injection to dissolve the existing filler, and the surgery was done with 3.5 mm customized silicone + ear cartilage + septal cartilage harvest + bulbous nose correction + nasal tip counter-rotation graft. Osteotomy and nostril reduction were also recommended, but after thinking about it, I excluded those parts. Still, I considered this one of the necessary preparation steps before surgery and moved on. What I wanted was “a glamorous nose that looks pretty even if it looks like I had surgery,” but I knew Director Lee Ji-hwan basically recommends natural and safe surgery, so I thought that if I explained my taste, the result would be appropriately balanced. Swelling and bruising vary from person to person, but mine were less than I expected, and recovery went smoothly. I was able to return to daily life relatively quickly too. Most of all, what I liked was that every time I went in for follow-up after surgery, the director personally checked my condition and explained things in detail. It wasn’t a quick look and done; he checked carefully every time, so that part made me trust him a lot. But to be honest, at this point one month after surgery, by my standards I don’t feel as big of a change as I expected, so I do feel a little disappointed. Compared with the nasal line I maintained with filler before, it doesn’t feel completely different, and it seems to have settled so naturally that people around me wouldn’t notice I had surgery unless I told them. If the nasal line can be maintained with filler, then I wouldn’t have to take on as much risk after surgery, such as inflammation or contracture. Of course, for people who were pursuing naturalness, this may be a more satisfying result, but because I expected a slightly more noticeable change, my satisfaction is not extremely high yet. Right now I’m still in the follow-up period, so I’m waiting to see it settle more, and I expect that after a little more time passes, my impression may look different again. To make the before-and-after difference clearly visible, I attached a photo from one week after dissolving the filler. The nasal line is uneven because there is still thread remaining inside, but please refer to it as material to show the before-and-after difference. Overall, I was satisfied with the surgery process, recovery, and the hospital’s care, and I’m planning to watch the result a bit longer.
