Day 12 Review After Revision Breast Surgery

Revision surgery after 1n years. It had been so long that I barely remembered anything - Reason for revision surgery It was a total mess, including capsular contracture, uneven shape, upper-pole bulging, feel, overall shape, rippling, etc. Even though I had the surgery because I wanted to be bigger, I never wore a bikini even once because of the upper-pole bulging and uneven shape. My confidence dropped when I was dating. I was busy making a living and just lived like that, then happened to see an ad and became interested in revision surgery. After searching, I went to consultations at two places and decided on surgery.   At this age (mid-40s), I wondered a lot whether there was any point, since I had lived fine until now, but something was pulling me toward it, and in the end, it was such a good decision. - Consultation I thought I should do it around the May holiday, so I first researched as much as I could online, narrowed it down, and only went to two places. I decided to do it at a clinic where I felt responsibility, a sense of mission, and professionalism. And after going in person, I understood the reviews in plastic surgery communities that had seemed like they were written by fanatics(?) lol - Day of surgery Arrived one hour before surgery. After the procedures were done, I briefly met the consultant, then met the director for the design. The design was also extremely meticulous, and I brought photos of the shape I wanted lol Before surgery, the director gave me a brief briefing about the surgery and taught me how to breathe deeply. They also said reassuring things, so I was able to have the surgery comfortably without feeling nervous. I had heard the operating room was cold, but it felt cozy to me. The anesthesiologist greeted me, said my face might sting, then I fell asleep, and when I woke up, the surgery was over. The process of waking up from anesthesia was so awful that I never wanted to do it again. I felt nauseous, my throat was so dry, I had muscle pain, and I was sleepy too. I was moved at 5:30, and left the hospital at 8. There was almost no pain at the surgical site, and I fell asleep with no strength in my whole body. - Day 2 It was easier than I expected to get my body up, and using my arms was still burdensome. Maybe because I took antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication, I did not even feel the remaining pain. During my first surgery, it hurt like I was going to die, so this was surprising. - Day 3 I briefly washed dishes and made bean sprout rice to eat. I lifted the pressure rice cooker and felt a bit of a tingling pain. I went to the supermarket, but it was a bit tiring, so after coming back I rested the whole time. - Days 4-6 I could feel myself getting a little better little by little, but there was no major change. - Day 7 The day I went back to work after vacation. I was worried about driving, but when opening the car door and shifting gears, it was manageable if I used both hands, though I drove slowly. I went for my one-week follow-up, and they said I did not need to wear the correction bra or upper band anymore, so I graduated from them and wore the Dorothy bra provided by the hospital. From that day on, it hurt because the bra touched the inframammary incision area. And maybe because sensation was coming back, I started continuously feeling sharp, poking pains. For the first time after surgery, I saw my bare breasts as they were, and I was very satisfied. Of course the shape is not perfect yet, but the swelling and skin/soft tissue condition should improve over time, and the director said they would become very pretty, kya. Also, during my first surgery, I used to look at my uneven, upper-pole-bulging breasts and envy other people's breast photos, but now mine look like that, so I was movedㅠ I was just amazed and surprised that upper-pole bulging is not something that resolves over time, but that it can be like this from the beginning. - Day 12 The incision pain is still there, and now I have gotten used to sleeping half-reclined, so it is not very uncomfortable. Even if I were told I could sleep lying down, I think I would still sleep like this. Also, gently moving something like a pressure rice cooker is okay now, and the doctor said pain and inconvenience in daily life should improve a lot in the second week, so I am looking forward to it. I am also looking forward to going for my two-week follow-up♡ Through this surgery, I think it is very, very important to choose a hospital that communicates sufficiently with patients and can listen well to what they say.
