Same-day breast surgery review I really worried a lot about the size right up until the day of surgery. During the consultation, I had received photos taken with the recommended size and with an implant one size larger than that inserted. I kept looking at those and debating, and during the consultation on the day, I ultimately decided to go one size up. I kept worrying that size-up might not be possible on the day of surgery, but thankfully the doctor said a larger size would be more advantageous for creating the shape, so I felt relieved. For reference, my before specs were 75A, with pigeon chest + pointed breasts, and since I wanted an armpit incision, they said it was a somewhat tricky case. Still, the doctor said there was absolutely no problem, that he was confident, and that I just had to sleep deeply and wake up, so I felt reassured! After the surgery, he said it went really well, and when I lifted the covering and looked at my breasts while I wasn’t fully awake from anesthesia, they looked prettier than I expected, so I was really moved…! But even though I’m not particularly sensitive to pain, it hurt even with the pain-control infusion going in, so I remember pressing the nurse call button and panting. That’s how painful it was right after surgery. After coming home, I couldn’t use my arms well, so I barely managed to change clothes, and even pulling down my pants in the bathroom was truly awful… Thinking about the recovery period made everything feel bleak. I went back to work after taking exactly 3 days off, excluding the day of surgery, you know? On the first day, even putting on the compression garment hurt so much, breathing was difficult, and I didn’t even want to eat. Still, what was fortunate is that I have an office job, so I could at least go to work. My body was very uncomfortable, but I could endure it and work. If anyone is planning to go back to work just a few days after surgery like me, I think this would be good to keep in mind!
