Because my nasal congestion gets severe depending on the season, I went to a local ENT clinic before and was diagnosed with nasal valve stenosis. Nasal valve reconstruction was recommended, but at the time I wasn’t in a situation to have surgery and it felt sudden, so I had put reconstruction aside. Then I heard that nasal valve stenosis surgery and cosmetic surgery can be done together, and from then on I started studying nasal valve reconstruction and rhinoplasty. Eventually, I went around for consultations at several hospitals that seemed to do functional-cosmetic rhinoplasty, and this was one of them. I heard the director had performed many functional and cosmetic nose procedures together since the previous hospital, and they explained nasal valve stenosis based on CT and showed me before-and-after photos. The cosmetic nose results also looked good, so I was drawn to it. I’ve almost made up my mind to have the surgery, but I still need to check with the insurance company and coordinate the surgery date, so it’s not confirmed yet.
