I had a regular breast ultrasound, and the results showed signs of implant rupture. I went straight to a plastic surgery clinic and had a detailed diagnosis, and I was diagnosed with a ruptured implant in my right breast, with some calcification also progressing. I debated whether I should replace them or remove them, but instead of having revision surgery, I decided to have implant removal surgery and went to several hospitals for consultations. Since the implant had ruptured, it was important to find a hospital that could remove both the ruptured implant and the capsular calcified foreign material. I had consultations at three places, and among them, Director Kim Jae-hong at The W specialized the most in implant removal. When I went for the first ultrasound exam and consultation, I trusted him because of his long experience and the very helpful consultation. The consultant and the assisting medical staff were also kind and answered all the questions I was curious about well. That was the biggest reason. The day of surgery came, and I arrived at the hospital at around 9:30 in the morning? I went into surgery around 11. Honestly, on the day of surgery, after waking up from anesthesia, it hurt really badly. It may differ from person to person, but for me it hurt a lot. I had also had breast augmentation before, so I didn’t expect it to hurt that much, but for 2–3 days after surgery, it was somewhat painful. By days 4–5, I felt like I was starting to come back to life.. After a week, I improved a lot and I think I returned close to my original condition. I’m satisfied because the surgery seems to have gone well without side effects or any major problems. After surgery, they also showed me the breast implants that had been removed directly in photos. Since removal surgery is the director’s specialty, it was done cleanly and well.. Right now my breasts are quite flat, back to how they were before breast surgery, but I’m happy that I can live without worrying about implant rupture now. Still, when I look at old photos, I sometimes think it might have been nice to have implant replacement surgery instead.. I guess that’s how a woman’s heart is... From now on, I’m going to continue getting regular ultrasound checkups with Director Angela and keep monitoring things carefully.
