Concern before surgery: I had severe myopia and even astigmatism, so I lived a life where I couldn’t manage without glasses. Contact lenses also made my eyes dry and uncomfortable when I wore them for a long time, so after seriously considering vision correction, I eventually decided on LASIK surgery. At the clinic, I compared LASIK, LASEK, and SMILE LASIK, and I was diagnosed as suitable for LASIK because my corneal thickness was sufficient. Examination & day of surgery: The detailed preoperative examination was really thorough. The tests alone took over 2 hours, and after the examination, the doctor fully explained whether surgery was possible, the surgical method, and the precautions. The surgery ended much faster than I expected. Even doing both eyes took around 10 minutes? The moment the device came onto my eye and I felt pressure was a bit scary, but there was almost no pain, and the laser time was really short.
