Concern before surgery: I had always been stressed since I was young because of my small, flat breasts. It was uncomfortable when exercising or wearing clothes, and I usually had very low confidence. I naturally decided on breast augmentation, and after consultations at several clinics, I concluded that implant (silicone) insertion was the most suitable for me. It differs by clinic, but I decided to have surgery through an inframammary fold incision. Consultation & surgery decision: The doctor recommended 300 cc silicone considering my body shape and skin condition, and suggested using a high-quality silicone product with a natural shape and a low risk of rupture or deformation. Since I wanted a natural size, I avoided anything too large and chose a medium size. Surgery day: It was done under general anesthesia, and the surgery took about 1 hour. When I woke up after surgery, I felt slightly dazed and sore, but it wasn’t severely painful. The doctor said, “Your recovery will probably be faster than expected,” and just like he said, my recovery was very fast. Right after surgery, my breasts felt a little firm and like the upper area was tight and bunched up. Recovery process: Day 1: On the first day after surgery, my breasts were stiff and swollen, so it was hard to move my body properly. But the pain was less than I had worried about, and I managed it while taking medication. Week 1: The swelling in my breasts started to go down. I clearly felt that I had much more volume than before and my body line looked more natural. However, the lower part of my breasts still felt hard, and the discomfort when moving continued. Week 3: The swelling was almost gone, and the breast shape settled naturally. At first, they seemed too high, but over time they gradually became more natural and soft. Now I feel more confident when wearing clothes, and I can exercise little by little. After 1 month: My breasts became completely soft and a natural curve was completed. When wearing clothes, my overall body line looked much prettier, and I can exercise again, so I’m really satisfied. People even ask, “Did you lose a lot of weight?” because my figure looks slimmer and more feminine.
