Because I had a protruding jaw, facial asymmetry, and malocclusion, I’m now 3 months after double jaw surgery~ I originally lived without paying much attention to my face ㅠ but aside from the cosmetic issue of my face being long, my bite alignment wasn’t good eitherㅠ I was skinny too, and because I couldn’t chew food well, my digestion wasn’t good either ㅠ So rather than for cosmetic purposes, I had the surgery for treatment purposes. It was the first surgery I’d ever had in my life, and now that I think about it, I really feel like I was amazingㅠㅠㅠ People who have had double jaw surgery are really amazingㅠㅠㅠ If you’re having surgery simply for appearance-related reasons, I’d say I somewhat do not recommend it... because double jaw surgery is that risky of a surgery... Usually when I read double jaw surgery reviews, there were lots of posts saying that after surgery their mouth was almost completely closed up and they had a hard time breathing, so I was scared.. If breathing goes wrong, it could become a serious problem. But at the place where I had surgery, they left a little space inside my mouth, so it was much easier to spit out phlegm and blood.. The director came by from time to time and taught me how to breathe.. And I could drink beverages through that space too.. so my recovery was fast. Anyway, it seems like people recover a bit faster when they eat something. After being hospitalized for about three days and then returning home, after about a week I was able to go outside. In my case, I wasn’t someone who swelled a lot. After surgery, I also gained confidence in my appearance. Before, when I took photos, you could see the asymmetry in the pictures. So I didn’t really take photos and things like that, but these days I’m just taking selfies nonstop hahaha I try taking them after waking up, and also before going to sleep haha So far, there haven’t been any side effects~ I’m living day by day feeling satisfied~ I’ve improved a lot, right~?^^
