The person who had their first nose surgery with silicone using a closed approach and it failed is me!! The silicone was crooked and showing through.. as expected, you get what you pay for! For the nasal tip, I had my first surgery with AlloDerm, but it kept drooping and made my nostrils look even more prominent... After going around for consultations, everyone kept saying autologous costal cartilage, autologous costal cartilage.. But my skin is keloid-prone, so I really hated the idea of having a scar,, so I decided to go with donated costal cartilage. But I was scared that using donated costal cartilage incorrectly could cause inflammation, so I think I went for consultations at almost every place that handles costal cartilage really well. I had a consultation with Director Kim Jin-hyung, and he asked in detail about my previous surgery and carefully went through everything one by one while looking at my CT images. The main goals were correcting the silicone showing through, correcting my pale-looking nose, and even nostril reduction! And while I was at it, my forehead was too flat, so I also got fat grafting done. Lip filler as a bonus too hahaha. Since I was doing it anyway, I just went all in. For 2 days, I had cotton packing in my nose, so my throat was extremely dry.. it was truly 2 days of hell.. And on day 7, I had the stitches and splint removed... and wow.... looking at the before-and-after photos, even my facial contours looked noticeably different! There is a bit of a scar visible around the columella though.. well.. I’ll keep applying scar ointment consistently and watch it. It feels like this mid-30s woman has gone back to her 20s! Now that I look prettier, the whole world looks prettier lololol How is my nose? I’ll post another review!
