If you lower the silicone implant, what happens to the empty space?

Something suddenly came to mind If you lower the starting point of the nose and replace the silicone implant with a lower one, there would be the space where the original silicone implant used to be, so if you have revision surgery, does that space naturally adhere(?) back down? Could an empty space form and cause inflammation or problems later because of it..?
