Recently I went to take an ID photo, and my eyes in the picture looked so closed-off that I decided to get dual canthoplasty. Another reason was that I had always wanted a gentle, soft impression, so after looking into several clinics, I decided to have posterior canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty, meaning dual canthoplasty, at a plastic surgery clinic where the consultation was kind and thorough! During the pre-surgery consultation, I said I wanted my eyes to look natural and not too excessive, and Director Kim Jae-yoon reflected that well in the design. On the day of surgery too, the guidance was kind, so I was able to have the surgery comfortably without feeling nervous. Right after surgery, there was almost no swelling, only a little redness. Even on the same day, my condition was good enough to eat out and go outside. After that, I had light bruising for about a week, but it subsided quickly. At first, it felt like my eye shape had been lowered a bit too much, but over time it settled naturally. It probably varies by person, but in my case, after the stitches were removed, there were almost no scars or bruises left other than redness. I consistently applied the ointment as instructed by the clinic and was careful when washing my face. The definite change after surgery is that the closed-off impression disappeared. And does the aegyo-sal line look prettier? If there’s anything I regret, it’s that although I asked them not to make it excessive because I wanted a natural result, after doing it I wondered what it would have been like if I had gone a little bolder from the start. Honestly, I had heard a lot that posterior + lower canthoplasty doesn’t have a big effect, so I got it without high expectations, but once I saw the result, there was definitely a difference, so I do feel a little regret that I should have gone bolderㅜㅜ If I had a friend around me considering dual canthoplasty, this is a clinic I’d confidently recommend. The consultation was kind and the clinic was clean, so overall I was satisfied.
