<Before surgery><Before surgery><1-month follow-up><1-month follow-up><3-month follow-up><3-month follow-up><6-month follow-up><9-month follow-up><9-month follow-up>It is currently 9 months since my surgery! - Reason for surgery The reason was that I started orthodontic treatment because I felt discomfort in daily life due to severe malocclusion. Since it was a situation that could not be resolved with orthodontics alone, the dental clinic I was attending suggested double-jaw surgery and recommended this place as a hospital that does it really well. - Detailed surgery review (Pre-surgery consultation) They explained in great detail and very clearly so that even someone like me, who was completely ignorant about what procedure I needed and how the surgery would be performed, could easily understand. Also, their replies to inquiries through the KakaoTalk channel were very fast and kind, so I was able to comfortably wait for the surgery date without anxiety or difficulties before surgery. (Day of surgery) They once again explained the precautions and the detailed surgical process they had mentioned during the pre-surgery consultation, and then quickly and efficiently began surgical preparation. After the surgery was over, they kept giving me pain-control injections, so I didn’t feel any pain at all, and they kept recommending that I sleep, so I fell asleep right away. Instead, I couldn’t sleep at dawn and stayed awake, but even at dawn, if I pressed the call bell and said I was uncomfortable, they quickly came to check my condition, so I was grateful but also felt sorryㅠㅠ My nose was blocked alternately on both sides, so it wasn’t too difficult, but instead, phlegm kept forming often, so my throat was continuously uncomfortable. Each time that happened, if I pressed the call bell, they did nasal suction, and after doing it once, I felt comfortable for a few hours. (Days 2-3) When I woke up in the morning, they gave me a nutritional can for meals and water, and after I finished, they cleaned the blood and phlegm around my nose and mouth thoroughly. (After doing this, it feels really refreshing.) After the first day, my nose was hardly blocked at all and my condition was very good. When I felt stuffy at night to dawn, they let me walk around the hospital lobby. (They also said I could watch TV, but I felt sorry because it was late, so I didn’t watch it.) (After discharge) Even after discharge, phlegm continued for a few days, but other than that, I lived without major discomfort. (It may vary by person, but in my case, after discharge, I never once had nasal congestion.) Honestly, more than the aftereffects of surgery, the powdered medicine they prescribed was the most painful.... Following the hospital’s recommendation, I mixed it with Pocari Sweat and swallowed it quickly, and somehow managed to take all the medicineㅠㅠ (~1 month) As the director also said that I was recovering quickly, the swelling went down very fast, and although chewing was still a bit difficult, I was able to eat food. Honestly, I think other illnesses that occurred because my immunity dropped after surgery were harder on me. Everyone, please manage your condition thoroughly.... (3 months) Sensation in my face also returned very quickly, except for the left chin tip area, and from around this time, I was able to eat all foods without difficulty. The swelling looked like it had all gone down just by looking, but later when I saw the photos taken at the hospital at 6 months, there was still more swelling that could go down haha (6 months-9 months) Honestly, I’m not someone who cares much about my appearance, so it would be a lie to say I didn’t neglect care, but even so, compared with the early post-op period, it has noticeably improved. Sensation has not completely returned yet in the left chin tip, but they said this differs for each person, so as the director told me, I’m diligently doing warm compresses. - Satisfaction and thoughts Even though I’m not very interested in appearance, I had always considered my protruding lower jaw a complex and didn’t even like taking photos, so I’m truly grateful that they made me look like a person... From the pre-surgery consultation to now, 9 months after surgery, everything went smoothly without a single issue, and they guided me well, so I was very, very satisfied! I have a friend around me who, like me, is considering orthodontics with double-jaw surgery due to malocclusion, and I’m actively recommending this hospital to them.
