It's been one month since surgery. They use an entire building, and each floor is divided by function, so I thought it was systematic. After I decided I needed nose surgery, it was like I was possessed; I didn't even look into it properly, just booked and had the surgery. I regret it so much that I wish I could turn back time. The preoperative explanation was far too insufficient. They explained very simply that if I just chose the materials, they would do the nasal bridge like this and the nasal tip like this. Even after the surgery, they just said it went well and left. This place has inpatient rooms, so I was hospitalized for two days, but on the day of surgery they just said one thing, that it went well, and left, and I never saw their face again. When I went for my one-week follow-up, the director was on vacation, so another director saw me. When I went for my two-week follow-up, I finally saw the director's face. The surgical explanation was likewise very simple. Because I felt anxious, I searched for this and that, and when I went for my one-month follow-up and asked, they only answered what I asked. Only now did I find out that it was a surgery with a lot of manipulation. I had talked with them before going in that I didn't want to use implants and would only use autologous costal cartilage, but the surgical record and medical fee statement say nasal mesh was used. When I asked, "Nothing of mine at the nasal tip was touched, right?" only then did they say they had trimmed the alar cartilage a bit. They said they performed osteotomy to correct my deviated nose, so I asked whether that meant they only broke the bone a bit to align the bridge and didn't shave anything, and they said they did both. They said they also shaved the hump a bit. All of this is information they never told me first, and I found out only because I asked. I found out because I was thinking about removal and needed to know how the previous surgery had been done, so I was looking into it. Even now, I don't know where the mesh was used, and there is something written in the middle as an intervening graft, but I don't know what that is, so I decided to go back in three weeks to hear the surgical explanation again. Seriously, if possible, don't get surgery, and if you absolutely have to, I hope you research the hospital well and go to many consultations.
