Hello. This time, I had double-eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty with Director Ham Gi-won at Gwanggan Plastic Surgery, and three months have already passed. Before surgery, I was worried not only about functional issues (ptosis), but my biggest concern was the aesthetic discomfort, that is, I was self-conscious because my eyes were small. No matter how wide I tried to open them, they still looked small, and especially when I wore glasses, they looked much smaller. I was particularly dissatisfied when taking photos. Even though I wanted double-eyelid surgery, I kept putting it off because I had heard that it is better for men not to have double eyelids. I just kept visiting clinics and never got around to actually deciding on surgery. Then, by chance, I saw Director Ham Gi-won on YouTube, heard that he was confident about surgery and that he had done many male cases, and immediately made a consultation appointment. I think he said I was his first patient of 2025. The consultation was also very kind and thorough, and he gave me realistic advice, so I felt very reassured. As for the surgery itself and the process, I honestly had no pain at all. At first my eyes were just very swollen..? There was absolutely no pain or anything like that. Since he is an authority in the plastic surgery field, I think I trusted him a lot, and maybe a placebo effect worked as well. My feelings after surgery are that I am so satisfied that I cannot even express it fully in text. First of all, I was amazed that I could open my eyes without straining them. It was so amazing. Also, because my eyes had always been small, now that I even took off my glasses and had eye surgery, my eyes look three times bigger, and I seem to be hearing many compliments that I never heard before. Also, I did not really prefer double eyelids that looked too obvious, and at the beginning the director said that given the structure of my eyes, the double eyelid would not really show anyway. It really seems to have turned out that way, so I am very satisfied. If anyone else has the same concerns as I did, I really hope you go see Director Ham Gi-won. It feels like one of the best choices I have made in my life.
