Hi everyone, my mouth itself was always very small, and because of orthodontic treatment my mouth had also rolled inward a lot, so after thinking about it for 2 years, I decided to get mouth corner surgery despite knowing it could leave scars. I’m on day 16 now, so I’ll talk through it step by step. On the first day, my mouth was already small to begin with, but after the surgery, it wouldn’t open enough for a teaspoon to fit in. From the second day, it starts opening little by little, but don’t get too happy just because it opens, because the scars open along with it. And you really have to be careful when smiling too, and brushing your teeth is so hard. Unless your mouth corners and mouth are such a major source of stress that you feel like you’re going to die, don’t do it. For just slightly lifting the corners of the mouth, scar care is so hard, and you have to be careful opening your mouth for 6 months + smiling too. I did it knowing the scars might not go away, and I only recommend it to people who think, “Rather than live with these mouth corners, I’d rather have scars and make my mouth length even just a little longer.” You really need to work hard on scar care for 6 months, avoid smiling as much as possible, and brush your teeth carefully too. If you have questions, ask me. I’ll answer.
