I had my first surgery in my mid-30s. I had been thinking about double eyelid surgery since college, but I kept thinking, “Do I really need it?” so I didn’t do it. Then my coworkers kept saying I looked tired, so I suddenly decided to go ahead with it. Even after visiting several clinics, I still wasn’t sure, but I heard iNique had expertise, so I visited. The staff were kind, and the director examined me very thoroughly, so I decided to have it done there. The issue wasn’t just double eyelids; my eyelids were drooping, making it uncomfortable to open my eyes, making me look sleepy, and there were more functional issues than I expected. Since my eyes are very dry, the director recommended not overdoing it, which made me trust them. I was worried because of my age and because it was my first surgery, but I had sedation anesthesia, so there was no pain, and the nurses were kind. Most of all, the Encore under-eye fat repositioning was a bit expensive, but there were no scars or bruising, and people say they can’t tell what I had done, but ask why my skin looks so much better~ ㅎㅎ I also like that the double eyelids turned out natural and not excessive, just as I wanted. Once the swelling goes down a bit more, I think opening my eyes will feel easier and my eyes will look bigger. They recommended an incisional method, but because of my dry eyes, I had the buried-suture method, and they said that since my skin is thin, it probably won’t come undone. The area where I had the upper epicanthoplasty is still a bit red, but it covers well with makeup. I recommend iNique to anyone having their first surgery.
