I went to consultations at a total of 3 places, and unlike another hospital that consulted in a factory-like way, ㄹㅇㅅ felt like they treated me like a personㅜㅜ So I got detailed consultation on more of the things I was curious about, worried about, and stressed over, and scheduled surgery for the very next week I’ll write this organized around things you might be curious about! Pain: I really think this varies by person. For me, it hurt insanely badly, and it felt like I was being hit in real time with strong punches, so I couldn’t even get up. But the nurse said I’d get better if I went to the bathroom and moved around, so I got up right away and went, but honestly it still hurt haha. On the bus home, every time the bus shook over a speed bump, I teared up a little. From days 2 to 4, even moving a little hurt, and from days 5 to 9, it’s bearable now. Time really is the medicine. I think raising your arms also varies by person, but I still have my husband wash my hair. They only go up about halfway(?) Compression garment: On the day of surgery, I felt hopeless thinking I had to wear this for 3 months, but eventually I got used to it... Now on day 9, it is uncomfortable, but rather, when I take it off briefly for disinfection, it feels like my arms might fall off? So now it’s actually more comfortable to wear the compression garment. Tomorrow is day 10 and I’m going to get the stitches removed, and so far the only time I’ve taken it off is the 15 minutes? during disinfection. I wear it while sleeping and during daily life~ I’m just hoping the weather doesn’t go above 25 degreesㅠ^ㅠ Diet control: I don’t want to gain weight + I need to recover, so I’m eating mainly foods with a good amount of dietary fiber and protein. But a blessing in disguise is that the compression garment is so tight that if I eat as much as usual, it seriously gets a bit hard to breathe (lololol) automatic diet control.. Swelling: Until day 4, I couldn’t scroll on my phone because my hands were swollen like Doraemon and the skin on the backs of my hands(?) was so taut that I even wanted to poke it once with a needle haha. And now on day 9, most of the major swelling is gone, but it seems like there’s still swelling in the arms Bruising: The blue bruises seem to be spreading yellow and fading, and now on day 9, it’s 80% yellow bruising and 20% blue bruising. Bruising is honestly just a matter of time anyway, and since it’s all inside the compression garment, I don’t really pay attention to it! Before and after: My body type is thin everywhere else, but I had especially a lot of extra fat only on my arms. They said they removed 1400 cc haha.. The consultant was a bit surprised too. I take photos every day during disinfection and look at them, and I’m already seeing a big difference from before, so I’m very satisfied. I’m really looking forward to a month later! Now I’m shopping for sleeveless tops instead of pumpkin juice~
