The result was a total failure.. Right after surgery, the front of the inner corner of my right eye was protruding like a worm, so I contacted them saying something was wrong. They said it was because not much time had passed since the surgery. They told me to wait 2 weeks, so I waited, but one double eyelid really was set further inward toward the nose. The outer side came inward into the eye, so the double eyelid line itself had been designed more inward than the other eye. The ptosis correction was also insufficient, so the difference between my two eyes was really noticeable. They kept telling me to wait, so after 1 month I went to see the director, and the director said one eye had turned out pretty and that the normal eye was the one being lifted too much.. Then he suggested either making the double eyelid on the normal eye bigger or doing more ptosis correction on the wrongly done eye. My nose position is slightly shifted, so I think he may have designed it incorrectly while trying to align it to the center of my nose. But seeing that he couldn’t identify the core of the problem, I thought it would be a problem even if he redid it.. It’s been 2 years now, and the ptosis correction has completely loosened, and the double eyelids are different too, so my asymmetry has become worse than before. Now it’s severe enough for anyone to notice I learned the lesson that if you’re going to do ptosis correction, you really, really need to find a hospital that is good at it.. I’m looking into other hospitals for revision double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction. What about Professor Yoo Young-cheon at Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong? How is he?
