<Before surgery><After surgery>To be honest, since long ago I was often told that my impression looked strong, maybe because my eyes looked a bit sharp. Even when I wasn’t angry, I often looked that way, so in one corner of my mind I always wanted to have a softer impression. Then my cousin said he had double eyelid surgery, so I went to see him, and seeing that it turned out so well, I started thinking, should I try it too? and made a consultation appointment. When I went for the consultation, the director examined the condition of my eyes very carefully. He didn’t just look at the line; he considered my eye-opening strength, skin thickness, and overall impression together, so I trusted him. He also brought up the parts I was worried about first and explained step by step which surgical method would suit me well, so at that moment I became certain that I could trust this place and leave it to them. I didn’t want it to look obvious, so I wanted a non-incisional method. Rather than a thick double eyelid, I thought a low, thin double eyelid would suit me better, so after the director recommended “ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty,” I proceeded with the surgery. The hospital staff were generally all kind, and especially on the day of surgery, I was very nervous, but all the staff calmly guided the atmosphere, so I felt much more at ease. Right before surgery, I briefly thought, “Did I make the right choice?” but once it started, the surgery was over quickly. Other than having to open my eyes in the middle to set the line, there was nothing uncomfortable. Afterward, there was swelling and slight discomfort for a few days, but the pain wasn’t as severe as I expected, and I could go about daily life without difficulty. When I saw my swollen face in the mirror, it felt a little unfamiliar, but I really understood what people meant when they said that if you get through that period, it gradually gets better. Now opening my eyes is much more comfortable, and people around me often say it turned out very natural and pretty. Thanks to that, I feel very good when I look in the mirror. The hospital said it would take about 6 months for the residual swelling to fully go down, so I’m really looking forward to it, thinking it will get even better after 6 months!
