I went to 2 places, and please note this is disorganized The places I visited were ㅅㅇㅅ and ㅁㅇㄷㅇ I was considering square jaw, chin tip, nose, and if needed, two-jaw surgery and even philtrum reduction My midface is on the long side (from under the eyes to above the lips, including the philtrum), and overall my facial contour and nose have a very masculine look 1. ㅅㅇㅅ (consultation fee 50,000 won) - I had seen someone who had surgery here and got a good result, and while reading the director’s blog posts, I felt they had a good aesthetic sense for long faces, should I say? I thought they might have know-how for cases similar to mine, so I decided to get a consultation. But like in the reviews and blog posts, they definitely seemed to focus on the chin tip, and I was also recommended chin advancement. For the square jaw, I think they said they would cut it not as an angle but as a pretty line to match the advanced chin tip (I don’t remember the square jaw details well). I also had a nose consultation, and they said the nasal bridge line was okay, it wasn’t a dorsal hump, but the nasal tip was low and drooping, so it would probably be enough to just raise and heighten the nasal tip. For the cheekbones... I said they felt like a last resort because of cheek sagging, but they said cheekbone surgery was actually the most necessary surgery. They said the cheekbones need to be lifted upward so the cheek fat also lifts, improving the long midface feeling and masculine look. And they said there would be no sagging because they don’t cut the retaining ligaments, but honestly I still wonder whether that’s really possible.. Anyway, the consultation was detailed, and they answered questions in detail while touching my face and giving examples. Honestly, I do think opinions on this hospital are very split, and I’m not sure if I’ll go as far as surgery there.... But I recommend getting a consultation! Oh, and since I was negative about cheekbone surgery, they said it would be okay to do cheekbones later. The estimate was only for chin tip + square jaw 2 types + rhinoplasty, and it came out to 15-16 million won. They did say it’s on the expensive side, but I’d already heard that, so whatever, it’s okay.. Is the cost important? The result is what matters. 2. ㅁㅇㄷㅇ (consultation fee 50,000 won) - Here, it felt like they just told me exactly what was needed and ended quickly? After saying everything, they told me to ask questions, and they answered questions briefly too. The consultation was that they would only cut both sides of the blunt-looking chin tip, and for the square jaw they said they would give a frontal-view effect. For the cheekbones, they said high cheekbones close to the eyes don’t seem like a feminine image, so I should also have cheekbone surgery to lower the cheekbone highlight, which would also make the long-face feeling less severe. (The director said they like short face shapes, and I do too. It’s just that since my midface is long, I have no expectations..) And when I asked whether my face type would sag severely, they just said to manage my weight well so I don’t gain fat.. It was unclear whether they meant it would sag or not, but anyway it passed like that. In conclusion, both consultations were fine, but the opinions about cheekbones differed between the two places, so I only ended up with lots of question marks in my head.. Anyway, it seems like I do need cheekbones somewhat, so I became sad. I’m not ready yet to accept the risk of cheek sagging..ㅠ I think I need to go to more consultations, so I’ll write again later..!
