I had surgery only on the nasal bridge and nasal tip using autologous costal cartilage for the columella. My nose was originally very large and the skin was thick, so they said it could be raised quite high too. I worried because the autologous costal cartilage scar bothered me, but I thought autologous costal cartilage might be better than an implant, so after thinking it over, I went for it!!!! Costal cartilage was a material I was hearing about for the first time too, so I was scared, but I wanted to do it firmly and properly in one go, so I proceeded. My nose is still stupidly swollen…. I think I need to wait a bit more. It was a really tough first week
