I spent the past few days debating whether to have surgery or not, whether to remove everything completely or just revise it. But after reading so many reviews from this community, I thought, 'It won’t turn into contracture, and of course it’ll be hard because of the shrinking, but I can’t live feeling this foreign-body sensation and lacking confidence in myself.'
I arrived at 5:30, changed clothes right away, washed my face with cleansing foam, and went into the operating room. Even after entering the OR, I was hit with all kinds of emotions. If I take this out and regret it later, there’s no point. If I leave it in and my nose gets ruined, I’ll regret it so much I could die. Should I just save 300,000 won and live like this? Etc. I was so scared of the surgery itself... I lay down in the operating room and tears just started pouring, my heart was racing... so the nurse said to meet the doctor first, and the director and everyone came in and asked if I was really prepared, whether I was sure, saying I could still have it removed later and not to think so urgently. I was like that... Sigh... then I just said, 'I’ll take it out,' and lay back down. I really vowed not to regret it after getting through this...
After taking out the whole nose, I felt so sad, so sick, so regretful...
But after removing it and looking in the mirror, my nose really looked so ugly.. like a deflated rubber balloon.. mine wasn’t a very high-bridged nose to begin with, so I honestly didn’t know it would look this bad.. the ear cartilage was really small too... I was really shocked Weirdly, my nose looked more upturned. Even before surgery my nose wasn’t that upturned, but after removing everything it looked lifted. It really looked ugly
Still, I have to keep my hope alive.. Since it turned out this way, I’m determined not to regret it... I’ll live positively... Sigh... I’ll post updates often
And by the way, when I first had surgery, there’s a hard thing on top of the taped nose, and gauze soaked in saline was stuffed in there
