It has been 2 weeks since I had revision rhinoplasty using donated costal cartilage at Lowell Plastic Surgery Clinic. The reason I decided to have revision surgery was that, for my first surgery, I had functional rhinoplasty at an ENT clinic using only septal cartilage to raise the nasal tip, but I was dissatisfied with the shape. In particular, I didn’t like that my nasolabial angle was small, so I decided to have revision surgery. The reason I chose Lowell Plastic Surgery Clinic was that while looking at reviews, I felt the director’s aesthetic sense matched mine, and unlike other hospitals, I liked that there were no additional fees on top of the event price and that there was no separate osteotomy fee. Thanks to that, I was able to have the surgery at a reasonable cost, so I think my satisfaction is even greater! The consultation lasted about 1 hour total, with 30 minutes with the consultant and 30 minutes with Director Kim Jae-yoon. Since the consultation time was long, I was able to ask enough questions and get the answers I wanted. We decided to use donated costal cartilage and my own ear cartilage, and he said he would make the shape I wanted and secure it firmly with a 4-layer fixation. For aftercare, I received swelling laser treatment and exfoliation care after the splint was removed. I had some swelling and bruising until right after the splint was removed, but now at week 2, it has almost all gone down. Lastly, aside from the consultation and surgery, I have visited the hospital 4 times for aftercare up to week 2. I really like the shape, and what I like most is that every time I visit, I can see the director in person and hear his opinion.
