Summary of drawbacks/side effects 1 year and 6 months after breast surgery

I’m thinking so hard about surgery The cost is a burden and I’m really worried about side effects, so it’s not easy to decide. But my chest is such a complex for me that I think I’ll probably do it someday lol Right now I’ve pretty much made up my mind and am looking into it. Even if you had surgery again, would you choose Mentor?

[@Delop] If I were to have revision surgery 10 years from now, I think I'd do Mentor Xtra again! Or maybe I'd choose an implant with less rippling! But Motiva feels too artificial to the touch... I'm not really sure..

I agree. My friend got it done too, and she did look bulky, kind of heavy-looking.

Before surgery I was 161 cm / 47 kg and had an image of looking very thin, but now ... half of the clothes I used to wear look good on me, and the other half make me look bulky ... And my body shape has changed into something that feels neither here nor there ... But I have no regrets at all~~~ I just thought!! maybe I should have gone with a B cup ...

I agree. I’ve also heard a lot from people around me that satisfaction is high enough to accept all the drawbacks, so they’d do it again… I want to do Mentor Xtra too.

If it turns out well, people still accept the drawbacks and are satisfied…

[@쿠로3] Some people get it back after more than 5 years, and some people never get it back, so I think it depends on the person! Mine still hasn’t come back haha. Going braless is safe from 6 months after surgery!

Whoa, even Mentor Ex looks natural?? Did you have a decent amount of native breast tissue? I'm considering Smooth because I'm worried Mentor Ex might look too firm too...

[@얄라리얄라숑] Before surgery, my bra size was B. But my rib cage is larger than other people’s and protrudes forward, so that made them look big. Mentor Xtra is really natural, but breast sagging and rippling can happen..!

Even so, if I were to talk about the advantages, first, because my breasts got bigger, my self-esteem went up! I gained confidence too! I used to get stressed every day when I looked in the mirror because of my breasts, but now just looking in the mirror makes me feel good? That’s the biggest advantage, and because my satisfaction is so high, I don’t think about the drawbacks! To the point that even if something goes wrong, I’d just get surgery again. After seeing my breasts bigger once, I don’t want to go back to having a flat chest like before. In the end, isn’t plastic surgery something you do for your own satisfaction? And unlike rhinoplasty, the chance of it going badly in terms of appearance is significantly lower, so I think most people who get it are satisfied with this surgery

[@딸기쥬쥬] When I first touched Mentor Xtra, I thought it felt really good..! When you go for a consultation, they let you touch all the implants, so I recommend going to a consultation and feeling them! Oh, and Motiva actually felt more foreign to me

I had surgery with a hard implant 8 years ago already, but because I didn’t have much volume to begin with, it lacked naturalness so much that as I got older, I thought it would look even more unnatural over time to just have breasts that were only firm and perky. I was wondering if I should get a revision to Mentor Smooth? But after reading your post, I’m thinking Mentor also has sagging and would still look natural enough. Does it feel naturally soft and bouncy even when you move or run? How is it? I’m seriously considering revision surgery, so I really wanted to ask.

[@뿌이이이이아아응] When I get older, I think I’ll also choose something a little firmer..! Maybe in about 15 years? But I really don’t regret Mentor Xtra because it feels like natural breasts! Especially when I run, the way they bounce feels like my own breasts lol. But if you dislike sagging and rippling, I’ll absolutely not recommend Mentor Xtra. Especially for people with little existing breast tissue and who are very skinny, the chance of rippling is high

I have breast surgery coming up, and the implant preferences and aesthetic you like seem so much like mine, so this was genuinely helpful! I also care a lot about feel, but even after touching Motiva at consultations at 10 different places, it always felt hard and tough I think if that goes into the body it would only feel even more so, not softer..... Even so, I'm torn between Motiva and Mentor, but I'm also very slim, so I don't plan to be too greedy. Still, it's because of the risk of rippling I was recommended 295cc (based on Motiva) for my chest circumference of 65, but won't that look super cow-like and huge???? I want to go from a full B to a larger C. Would 270 be enough?

[@Sangkeumhai] My friend got Motiva and it really looks like a rice bowl And it looks so artificial that anyone can tell she had her breasts done.. I can’t remember my exact chest measurement, but according to the doctor, my chest was bigger and stuck out more to the front, so my body shape was one where my actual breasts looked smaller but appeared larger. At first I thought 240/270 was too big before the swelling went down, but now that all the swelling has gone, my bra size is US bra (Skims) 32 DD and Emaphil 70D! Based on Emaphil bras without padding, 70D is the right size, and during my period they get a bit bigger so I wear E! I think 270 would be about right! If it’s bigger than that, I think clothes might not hang nicely I do look a bit bulky

For a few years after the surgery, I also wondered if I’d made a mistake because of the foreign-body sensation, but around 6 years later I don’t think I feel that anymore! I also got a small size like you.

My friend also says breast surgery gave her the highest satisfaction, so maybe it covers the drawbacks.

I’m 2 months post-op too, and when I wear tight clothes or something a little low-cut, I feel self-conscious without even meaning to,, If I could go back, I think I’d still do breast surgery too even though there are a lot of side effects

If they're big, they inevitably look bulkier, so if you watch YouTube videos recommending outfits for bigger-chested people, wearing more fitted clothes does make you look less bulky.

I also had breast surgery, and I get pain sometimes too especially when I’m lying down or putting force into my upper body.

I really agree that it can make you look bulkier.. People who usually don’t wear clothes that show their figure, or who like streetwear, might regret it because of how clothes fit. Even if you’re thin, if your breasts are big, the more you try to cover them, the bulkier you look.
