It’s been a little while since I had liposuction on my arms and the scapular area (upper back), and honestly, the first few days were pretty tough. After the anesthesia wore off, my arms felt throbbing, stiff, and heavy. I was especially a little scared every time I lifted my arms, and wearing the compression garment was so uncomfortable at first. It got in the way whenever I moved and felt suffocating... But I realized this is really important for reducing swelling and bruising. After about a week, the bruising faded a bit and the swelling slowly started to go down. My arm line didn’t yet feel like, “Wow, it’s completely different!” but I could feel something lighter and my clothes starting to fit a little differently. After 2 to 3 weeks, moving my arms became much more comfortable, and whenever I looked in the mirror, I started noticing areas where I thought, “Oh? This part has gone in a bit?” The final result only stabilizes after a month or two, so for now I’m continuing to wear the compression garment consistently and waiting. Overall, I’m fairly satisfied! Especially because the underarm area and upper back have become smoother, I feel more confident about my back view.
