It isn’t a lot, but I’m writing a few things in hopes that my experiences may help people who are considering surgical methods.
1. Glabellar and crow’s-feet Botox: I’ve been getting it once every 6 months for about 3 years, and it feels less dramatic than at first. And the duration seems to be getting shorter too ㅠ.ㅜ I guess resistance really does exist. Still, it is still good when I get it, and I plan to keep getting it. When getting injections, the eye area hurts more than the glabella
2. Forehead Botox: My love-hate forehead Botox.. My eye-opening strength had become very weak, so I had developed a lot of forehead wrinkles. At that time, I got Botox in my forehead, and because my eyebrows would not lift, my eyes did not open well, and I had a hard time for about 2 months. For forehead Botox, I recommend that people with a lot of skin sagging avoid it ㅠ.ㅜ
3. Buried-suture double eyelid surgery: This was roughly 6-7 years ago, before I was married, after setting the wedding date, because I wanted to look prettier on my wedding day. About 3 days after surgery, the swelling was almost gone, the line was natural, and to my eyes it was pretty and fine. The one thing I overlooked was that my eye-opening strength was somewhat weak, and after surgery this got worse. I don’t know whether it was because of the surgery, because it was originally weak, or because of age, but at some point I gradually started frowning a lot, my eyebrows drooped a lot, and the wrinkles on my forehead increased too. From about 3 years ago, my skin sagged a lot and the line became hard to see, so I looked really harsh and depressed. My child asked me every day if Mom was angry.. ㅠ.ㅜ If you are thinking about buried-suture double eyelids, I think you should judge well whether you have ptosis before doing it.
4. Revision eye surgery (non-incisional eye-shape correction): I did it about 1 year ago, and I had liked the eye line I had from the previous buried-suture surgery quite a bit, so I wanted eyes like that again. First, because I was aware of my “weak eye-opening strength,” I did eye-shape correction together and raised the line slightly more than before. After about 1 month, the swelling seemed almost unnoticeable, but it definitely swelled much more than when I only had buried sutures. (It may also have been because I did the forehead-brow lift together.) Still, from right after the eye-shape correction surgery, I felt it was a bit easier to open my eyes, and I liked using my eyebrows and forehead less. However, my eyes did not get dramatically bigger ㅠ.ㅜ The reason I did it non-incisionally despite a lot of sagging was.. because the skin above my eyes was already sagging so, so much and my eyebrows were close, I worried that simply making an incision would make my impression worse, so I had non-incisional surgery while doing the forehead-brow lift.
5. Endotine forehead-brow lift (1 year ago): There seem to be several names for this, like endoscopic forehead lift and mini lift, but this name I first heard is the most familiar to me. The recovery period for this surgery was a bit long and difficult, about 1 month, but I think it was the best surgery among the ones I received. In effect, the scars are not visible, and I regained a youthful and gentle impression without it being obvious (sorryㅋ that’s my child’s opinion). Most people do not realize it, but the distance between the eyebrow and the eye really, really determines the impression a lot. However, this surgery seems risky because the nerves above the eyes are included in the surgical area. So if you are perhaps planning a forehead-brow lift, study a lot, look into it carefully, and then get surgery. In fact, immediately after surgery, I also had dull sensation above the eyebrows and burst tiny blood vessels in my eyes;;; I worried a lot for about ten days that these might be side effects, but after some time, thankfully I recovered~
This is a review I also posted in another community, but I also wanted to level up and thought it might be helpful, so I’m posting it
