I booked a hotel near the hospital and had the surgery First of all, my nasal ala area was blunt and rounded, so I had a strong bulbous-nose tendency.. I also had a hump, so there was an uneven step-off, making my nose look kind of like a saddle nose My nose looked crushed, and it was causing me a lot of mental stress, so that’s why I got surgery. I wanted it to look slim but natural But it seemed like a lot of places make it look too flashy if you ask for a slim line, so I had a hard time finding a hospital I had to find places with lots of nose surgery experience that were good at complex noses like mine that needed several things corrected so I think that made it even harder... As I tried to match all the conditions I wanted, I had no choice but to look all the way in Seoul.. haha So the place I ended up choosing was this clinic The director there said they would make an expected after-surgery image(?) so I went in with expectations. They really did make one for me I said I wanted more improvement in the shape than in the height of my nose. I said I wanted no implant, and I hoped the shape would be maintained without the nasal tip drooping They said the nasal bridge could be done without an implant, but for the nasal tip, autologous costal cartilage would be the right choice After thinking about it for a bit, since it was my first surgery, I figured it would be better to do it properly in one go so I went with autologous costal cartilage After surgery, I wasn’t going back to my parents’ home and was going straight to the hotel so I worried a lot about what I’d do if it hurt too much Fortunately, after taking the prescribed medicine and resting a bit, it took about 3 days and I think I recovered a lot Also, there was a pharmacy near the hotel I stayed at lol I had some nasal dryness, so when I told the consultant, they said I could apply eye ointment, so I used a bit, and after some time it just naturally got better.. haha Not very helpful, sorry It’s now been 2 months since surgery, and although some swelling still comes up a bit, the step-off of my nose has become much smoother and the nasal tip has also become naturally defined, so I’m extremely satisfied... The gloomy impression I had from my drooping nasal tip has improved a lot too and the bulbous-nose line has been naturally refined, so my overall facial contours feel clearer They said it will settle over 3 to 6 months, so I’m still watching it a bit more~ For reference, since I used autologous costal cartilage, I’m also receiving warranty benefits, so I like that I don’t feel anxious during the waiting period The recovery process has been smooth so far and the hospital has been good about post-surgery checkups, so I’m getting by without any anxious parts At first, having to go all the way from my region to Seoul was so annoying and I wondered if I really had to go this far but seeing the results now, I think it was good that I pushed through the hassle.. I guess if you want surgery to go well, you really do have to put up with a bit of inconvenience
