Since I was young, I’ve had skin that gets freckles on my face. They aren’t big or dark, but I have small, light freckles spread overall across my face.
This had stressed me out since childhood, and in middle and high school I couldn’t wear makeup, so I only applied sunscreen. Then in my early 20s, I think I got something called I2PL. It was ㅎㅂㄹㄱ in Mapo-gu, a place where comedian ㅂㅁㅅ’s wife is the director.
I had no information, but someone said they got a mole removed there, so I just went for a consultation, and it seemed okay, so did I get 3 sessions?
I did it in winter. My skin got extremely dry Honestly, there was no noticeable change... I only thought I shouldn’t have done it.. the money felt wasted.
Freckles don’t go away easily, and they can come back with UV exposure, so I didn’t do anything after that.
Then I followed my older sister to a dermatology clinic where she was getting filler, and my sister also has freckles, but hers are larger and darker, like a few spots, not skin covered all over like mine. But the director recommended laser treatment.
But when talking with the dermatologist there.. they didn’t make excessive demands, and seemed to recommend only what suited the client? I trusted them, so I ended up getting the treatment my sister had been recommended At that dermatology clinic, they called that laser Soft, anyway, after getting it, it improved noticeably, so I received it 2 more times afterward. When playing in the water during summer, even if I apply sunscreen diligently.. a little comes back again, so I basically did it 3 times over 2 years.
They said this is more effective for people like my sister, who have a few darker freckles, rather than faces like mine with many light freckles spread overall. Looking at the treatment method, the laser.. looks like a pen, and they remove each freckle one by one with it. So I also thought having a few big ones would be easier (from the director’s perspective hahahaha)
Still, since I saw a lot of effect, I strongly recommend it~ But if you do this, for about 5 days it’s better to stay home. They say you can wear makeup, but I personally think it’s better to just stay home and apply basic skincare + moisturizing cream (even better if you apply something called a regeneration cream that helps skin recovery faster) in thick layers. Even if you wear makeup, you have to apply it thickly to cover the black areas.
After laser treatment, the freckled areas turn black as if burned.. or should I say they get darker, and as that falls off, the skin becomes clear.
This got really long Anyway, for those who were worried about freckles, I hope my post helps, from the standpoint of someone with the same concern! haha
