I had rhinoplasty before with silicone + ear cartilage + septal cartilage, and I always felt dissatisfied with my side profile because the nasal tip seemed too low compared with the nasal bridge. While researching hospitals known for revision surgery, I saw surgery photos, and I really liked the nasal line and the shape of the columella, so I chose a plastic surgery clinic... haha I had surgery using autologous costal cartilage + silicone + donated dermis. The area where the autologous costal cartilage was harvested is now fine for daily life, and the surgical site itself is in a place covered by underwear, so once it fully heals, I don’t think it will be noticeable. I understood why the incision location is important. As for my nose, the major swelling seems to have gone down now, and only minor swelling remains. Also, I had such a hard time with a runny nose until week 3ㅜ but at some point, strangely enough, it just stopped? I think time is the answer. When I smile, I still feel pulling at the nasal tip and philtrum, and I had heard before that smiling widely can make the nasal tip drop, so I held my cheekbones and smiled carefully... But when I went for a follow-up, Director Kim Hyun-joo told me that the nasal tip won’t drop from that level and that I should just smile, so I’m smiling comfortably now haha. They said it will gradually get better as the skin naturally stretches, so I’ll have to wait and see. I really like that the nose line, height, and angle are not excessive and suit my face perfectly. They made my side profile, which used to be my complex, look pretty, so I should take lots of photos :)
