<Before><After>I’d been worrying so much about my nose for a long time. My nose was both bulbous and had a hump, so I didn’t like my side profile, and from the front my nasal tip looked blunt and spread out… Whenever I took photos, I kept worrying about my facial angle, and every time I looked in the mirror I felt disappointed. After thinking about it for a long time, I went for consultations this time and had surgery at Rivian. At first, I looked into regular rhinoplasty with an implant, but the more I researched, the more I started worrying for some reason about a foreign-body feeling or side effects, so I changed direction to implant-free surgery! And after going to consultations at several hospitals, they said that the reason my nasal tip looked spread out was partly because of the cartilage, but fat was a major factor too. They said nasal fat removal should be done together for a better effect, so I had that part done as well + my rhinitis was pretty bad too, so I also had functional nasal surgery haha After surgery, I diligently used cold compresses and followed things like no smoking and no drinking, so my recovery was fast and it settled into place nicely. Now that the swelling has gone down a bit, my nasal tip has definitely become slimmer and the bulbous-nose feeling seems almost gone?? From the side, the hump was also naturally smoothed out, so my side profile is completely different. And since it’s implant-free, there’s none of the low-looking feeling I had worried about; it feels very natural. When I say I had surgery, everyone is shocked, and if I don’t say anything, they just say my impression looks better. A lot of people even ask if I lost weight lol Also, breathing has become so comfortable. Originally, I even felt blocked while sleeping, but now breathing through my nose is so comfortable, and that’s the most amazing part. I really think it was a good decision to do functional rhinoplasty together. Before surgery, I also searched through tons of reviews, and I really feel glad and proud that I looked into it so thoroughly. I hope this helps even a little for people who are worrying like I did haha
