I went for double-eyelid surgery consultations at ㅇㄹ, ㄱㄴㅅㅇ, and ㄴㅅㅎ Since I don’t live in Seoul, I tried to set aside one day and go to as many as possible, but private clinics are harder to book, so I recommend everyone schedule consultations early! I dislike flashy eyes and wanted them to look natural no matter what, without looking like I had surgery. I also really hate when the double eyelid leaves a deep crease mark when I lower my eyes, so I chose clinics based on those standards. Looking at it by those standards, all three were good, so I think I chose well during my online research. For ㄴㅅㅎ and ㅇㄹ, both the consultant and the director had calm personalities and listened well, so I liked them. I went after seeing several mentions in this community that they’re good at making eyes look natural, so my expectations were high, and they met them by carefully designing the line. ㄴㅅㅎ designed a slightly higher in-out line starting from the inner corner of the eye, and ㅇㄹ designed it so the inner corner goes in and the line rises upward toward the outer side. Since the latter was what I originally wanted, I did like ㅇㄹ’s line itself more. Personally, at ㄱㄴㅅㅇ, the consultation with the director was good, but the line was too low, so it wasn’t my style.. It looked almost like monolids ㅠㅠ Maybe because I have a lot of eyelid fat? All the clinics showed me before-and-after photos and showed eyes similar to mine, but at ㅇㄹ they also showed things like pupil size and the distance between the eyebrows and eyes on the computer, so it was really fascinating. It felt like they weren’t simply drawing a line and ending it there. ㄴㅅㅎ didn’t show anything with a machine, but I felt the director explained everything very thoroughly while speaking in a fun way. And all three ~~~ said that if my eyes were done with the buried-suture method, the folds would come undone easily, so they recommended incisional surgery..... Hmm.... ㅠㅠ I had already had one consultation at a clinic in my neighborhood, so I expected that I’d probably need incisional surgery, but hearing the same thing even at clinics known for eye surgery made me think it would be hard to go against that. I felt that none of the three overtreated. Their diagnoses were generally similar. Incisional double-eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + optional canthoplasty........ But I said I wasn’t going to do ptosis correction, and neither ㄴㅅㅎ nor ㅇㄹ forced it, so I decided to do it without that. It didn’t feel like they were excessively adding multiple cosmetic procedures! But ㄴㅅㅎ did say that if I wasn’t going to do ptosis correction, at least removing fat would make the line look clearer. When I had a consultation in my neighborhood, honestly they even recommended fat grafting and Botox along with it, so I was annoyed.. This time there was none of that, so I think I came back feeling comfortable~!! It didn’t feel like a waste to make time to go to Seoul, and for everyone who wants natural-looking eye surgery like me, I really recommend going. Going around for in-person consultations really raises your eye for what to look for.
