2 days after revision surgery on the bridge and tip of my nose

More than 10 years ago, I had the bridge of my nose done with L-shaped silicone, and the tip done with some tissue from the nostril area(? I’m not really sure. The doctor didn’t explain properly what he put in to make my nose look so bulky), and it turned into a complete disaster. I kept suffering through it for a long time, and about 3 weeks ago I finally had the silicone removed. Then 3 days ago I had revision surgery again with silicone + ear cartilage. When I had the silicone removed, the surgeon said he would not only take out the silicone but also scrape away some of the soft tissue at the tip of the nose. But maybe he only removed the silicone, because there was almost no change in the tip, so after a lot of hesitation I decided to get a full revision at another hospital. Originally, my plan was to reduce the tip of my nose and remove the silicone, then once it healed, have an insertion procedure to raise only the bridge again. If I had known it would turn out like this, I wouldn’t have had the silicone removal surgery, and would have had it removed together with the revision. I just wasted money for nothing and made my nose suffer even more. (This is why you should choose the surgeon, not just the hospital...)\n\nAnyway, I went to a newly opened plastic surgery clinic near SNU Hospital Entrance Station and had the revision surgery there. The clinic hasn’t been open very long, but I heard the chief doctor had worked at several famous plastic surgery hospitals at the same time and had almost 10 years of fellowship experience, so he was said to have a lot of surgical experience and strong skill. That’s why I went there through word of mouth. Even during the consultation, he seemed quite stubborn, but he explained things calmly and seemed very confident in his own ability. Well... as for whether his skills are really as good as rumored, I’ll tell you after I look at my nose in 3 months.\n\nOn the day of surgery...\nYou know how right after surgery your mind goes in and out because of the anesthesia, right? I was all dazed and then, starting at night, the pain in my nose and ear hit me so hard that I couldn’t sleep at all and ended up crying my eyes out. I really never expected it to hurt this much. When I had the silicone removed, it didn’t hurt on the same day as long as I didn’t touch it. At that point, there was not much swelling yet. My nose hurt more than my ear. Even if I turned my head just a little, it felt like my nose was going to fall off, and in that pain I somehow recalled memories from 10 years ago;;; Only then did I remember what it had been like back then. Ah... it hurt like this too... back then... damn.\n\nDay +1 after surgery...\nI looked in the mirror in the morning and was shocked. In the mirror was some strange woman, no, an alien...?! Even the area around my eyes was swollen, and my eyes, which are naturally large almond-shaped eyes with a deep double eyelid and slightly upturned outer corners, had shrunk to one-third of their normal size;; The front part of my eyelids was so swollen that even my eye shape was distorted and looked really bizarre. On top of that, the area around my nose was swollen, tape covered half my eyebrows, bruising made my skin tone look weird, I couldn’t wash my face so the oiliness was intense... I’m neither a person nor anything else. Even an orc is better-lookingㅠㅠ\nAnd then the pain from my ear started to feel worse than the pain from my nose. Yesterday’s pain felt like a joke in comparison. My nose only hurts enough to bother me unless I take medicine and don’t touch it, but my ear is really... truly... hell..... It feels like someone is stabbing and tearing through my ear all day long with an awl. Even if I take medicine, even if I finally buy over-the-counter painkillers and take more, it doesn’t get better. Still, when I went to the hospital during the day and got treated, it wasn’t that painful, but somehow after I came back it hurt even more. As night comes, it gets worse and worse, really maddeningly so. When they treated me, they only handled the nose and left the ear as it was, with the cotton still packed in. I wondered if maybe infection developed because they didn’t disinfect it or apply ointment... My outer ear is swollen dark red and I can really feel the heat. Still, I slept for about 3 hours, but even that was while sitting upㅠㅠ I can’t even imagine lying down to sleep at all...\n\nDay +2 after surgery...\nIt’s today. As expected, from the morning on, the orc alien in the mirror and I stare at each other and both get shocked. I still haven’t gotten used to my own face;;; I had been doing cold compresses all day yesterday, but the swelling is still not that great... Looking closely, maybe the swelling is moving downward, because my lips are plump like I got fillers and they look ridiculously sexy and cute... The fine lines on my lips have also completely smoothed out! The only thing is that the color around my mouth is a little darkish. Is that bruising...? Is the bruise moving downward too....?\n\nLater I’m going to go back for the second treatment, and I plan to talk about my ear. If this is just how painful it normally is, then I have nothing to say, but even so, this is way too painfulㅠㅠ Since yesterday, some nasal discharge has also been coming out. I gently blew a little, and when blood mixed in I got really startled, so now I’m only wiping it very gently with cotton swabs. My ear now hurts all the way down to the root of the earㅠㅠ I still can’t open my mouth very wide, but even if I chew things a little bit at a time, it doesn’t hurt that much, so I’ll keep eating porridge. For nourishment too. Since yesterday I started boiling and blending old pumpkin + red beans and drinking that as well (I thought eating the solids too, instead of just the juice, would be more effective. And I wanted to lose some weight too...) I’m taking my supplements properly, taking my medicine on schedule, and oh, I also ordered something because I heard there’s something that can prevent inflammation, soften scars, and soften scar tissue if it forms. It’s a full-body enzyme called Wobenzym; it wasn’t originally for this purpose, but apparently it’s effective for that too. Medicines are hard on the liver, so first I’m going to try preventing things as much as possible with enzymes, and if it still looks like contracture will happen, then I’ll take medicine at that point. I’m also doing detox consistently to cut off the source of the problem at the root...\n\nI don’t know if anyone will read this, but from now on I’ll keep posting on the days I go to the hospital.
