Hoping this will be the last nose surgery of my life.... I went for a consultation. If I do it this time, it will be my third surgery. I think the director is kind and has a gentle manner. Maybe because they are an otolaryngology specialist, they examined the inside of my nose very thoroughly. And they honestly told me that my nose is quite difficult and that it won’t be easy. That part is... something I’m already fully aware of, so I didn’t mind it, but inside I felt crushed ㅠ They explained my current nasal condition, how it may change after surgery (both the negative and positive aspects), how the surgery would proceed, and so on, in a way that was easy to understand. For a really vague question like “Will it go well? Will it be successful?”, rather than vaguely saying, “It’ll go well, just trust me,” it felt like a consultation along the lines of, “What can’t be done can’t be done, but we can still try up to this point.” I suddenly got overwhelmed with emotion and cried a lot during the consultation, so I probably took up a lot of time, but they understood and were considerate.... In conclusion, I booked the surgery... and I’m waiting for the surgery date, really hoping desperately that this will be the last one.
