<After double eyelid surgery (incision, 3-4 months)><Before double eyelid surgery (double eyelid glue)>Before double eyelid surgery, when I used to go around with double eyelid glue, I had a cute and innocent look, but after the surgery my impression changed completely... When I used double eyelid glue, the line was set too low, so I only wanted to raise it a little, but the director said the inner corners of my eyes were too closed off, so I needed an upper epicanthoplasty, and I just said okay without thinking much... But after getting the upper epicanthoplasty, the line starts from the inner corner of my eye, so my eyes look too intense and my impression looks way too strong. On top of that, I even got a slight epicanthoplasty, so my eyes look more close-set. Sigh, and they even became really pointed. I wish the inner corners of my eyes were a bit covered like before and the line started from the middle, but the epicanthoplasty is stressing me out so much... And I have seen cases where, after epicanthoplasty restoration, the inner corner becomes a bit covered and gives an in-line double eyelid feel. But it is not really the feeling of the line starting from the middle; it is more like the inner corner is slightly covered? So I am wondering whether I should just definitely get double eyelid revision surgery...
I also got really stressed because my impression changed a lot after getting my eyes done, If you don't want your eyes to get smaller, I recommend revision surgery to lower the line, and if you want to go back to how you looked before, I recommend restoration. I got restoration and I'm satisfied
After restoration, did your impression become a lot more similar to before?? The change in my impression is the most stressful part
My impression changed after upper epicanthoplasty too... I seriously regret it so much, why didn't I look into it first
Sigh, right? I regret upper epicanthoplasty so much. If I had not done just that, I don't think I would have changed this much. I should have looked into it properly, sigh
It feels like upper epicanthoplasty doesn't even have a restoration option...
I did see ㅁㅇㅌ upper epicanthoplasty restoration, but it doesn't seem like it properly improves a high front line...
If it's 4 months after incision surgery, you should wait a bit longer
Okay… I heard the speed at which swelling goes down varies hugely from person to person.
Yeah, yeah. When I compare before and after, it got a lot softer. So after restoration, I feel like I may not need to lower the line that much. The impression changes
Thank you for explaining so kindly!! I think I should try restoration first. I'm thinking of ㅁㅇㅌ, what do you think??
Ohh, a lot of people go there too. I thought recovery and scarring were important, so that's a relief
If it were me, I think I'd just lower the double eyelid line a bit.
yuuu445 I have the exact same concern.. I was thinking about ㅁㅇㅌ, but they say upper epicanthoplasty can't be restored..??? How are things for you now??
I'm literally in the same situation too .. There's no restoration for upper epicanthoplasty either … It's so discouraging, like do I have to live with eyes that obviously look like I had double eyelid surgery?
Cases of upper epicanthoplasty restoration really don't come up. Since the angle itself is different from epicanthoplasty, it feels uncertain whether ordinary epicanthoplasty restoration alone can bring it back to how it used to be… I think I'll need to explain it in detail during consultations.
I think just lowering the line a bit would be enough.
I seriously relate so much.. But when I looked up epicanthoplasty restoration, it doesn't seem like an easy surgery, so I'm really torn Where are you going to do it, OP??
Right now, which is your first priority between epicanthoplasty restoration and revision surgery? I thought I'd improve after epicanthoplasty restoration, but I didn't, so I'm looking into double eyelid revision surgery..
